So I got fit awhile back into the previous version of the T200s and have a question for the masses. With the jacking of lofts what do you use as your bump and run club? I used to use an 8 iron in my old game improvement set and find it to be way too hot in the T200s. I have moved to the PW but find I have to hit it harder than I like to produce any spin to get it check then run or if I use a putting stroke it floats on me and gets no roll.

I tend to use my 35° 8 iron from the short grass around the greens. It usually gives me a pretty predictable rollout.

I’ve always liked using a 5 iron off of short grass and treating it more like a putt. It took a while to get used to how hard it comes off of it, but once I did, I just found it more predictable than a higher lofted club

Curious to hear your thoughts on the MMTs. I was considering going graphite with my next irons, since I figure I’ll need them eventually when the injuries/surgeries I’ve had on my arms catch up to me.

I haven’t tried the MMT yet, but I play steel fiber 110’s and love them! They are a lot softer on my wrist and elbows. That’s let me start practicing a lot more. I highly recommend them. They also get some hilarious looks when your buddies don’t believe you when you say you play graphite iron shafts.
I had been playing SteelFiber i110cw for the last year or so and liked them a lot. They do tend to play a little bit boardy (a hair stiffer than flex) but still dampen any misses. About 3 weeks ago I was at the range, struck up a conversation with the dude next to me about ferrules and he let me hit one of his ZX7MKIIs that happened to be the same shafts here and it was the smoothest iron shot I’d ever taken. I couldn’t stop thinking about those 6 shots I took and put this set together after landing a deal on FB MP. Bought these BB&F Co ferrules a few weeks earlier knowing I’d use them on whatever was next, and with the MMTs graphics it’s a nice Outrun aesthetic haha, of which I am a fan.
