Wild World of Golf - Hickories @ Colonial

Apparently, “rabbit” ears run rampant in the Schuster family…

I’m onsite today doing some gorilla marketing. I saw the C suite inside the ropes earlier. Does my nest membership include access to the refuge storm shelter? @djpie @Soly

One of the best parts of the whole video. I feel like Randy needs to keep feeding them leading questions about whoever is just off camera but within ear shot.

My biggest takeaway from this episode (I’m very sorry DJ) was “damn DJ looks very short.”

Don’t even know what it was, but just felt like every time he was on camera he shrunk 3 inches.

Absolutely.

There was a lot of great knowledge put to use here. Randy knowing how to ask the right questions and then DJ knowing how to answer in a respectful way that he absolutely knew would get a rise out of Neil and then Neil playing into it like he is actually upset (which I would say there is essentially a 0% chance anything DJ said actually got u set his skin for real).

Just a damn master class in comedic acting. And I mean that in the most positive way.

To be fair, Neil beat the brakes off DJ the next day even though DJ’s team as a whole won the tournament.

So overall, @MerchCzar lost to @djpie 2 days in a row?
Doubt that’s bugging him at all.

Thanks! And appreciate the love two years after I originally posted . My buddy helps me build and he has some of the best whipping skills I’ve ever seen. I’m still playing my 100yo clubs nearly exclusively for the past few years and have joined the metropolitan hickory golfers society so the tournament even require period garb.

Those are in fact knickers hiding behind the bag.

I should have joined the Nest earlier, my bad.

Any advice on finding a bag? I’ve found some playable clubs but I’m still putting everything together.

I’m also working on my outfit which is tough for women !!

One of my retired friends helped me sew some sweats until we find something.

So you mean an actual carry bag because you have clubs right? My play set came with an original bag that was crumbling and had zero storage and was super uncomfortable to carry so I do have a modern bag from here https://shaplandbags.com/

It’s the best bag I’ve ever had. Not cheap but the Sunday bag (which is of course sold out constantly) is so good I got on the wait list and made sure to get one two years ago. The spot for the water bottle is perfect, you can go one strap or two, and it has nearly as much storage as any modern stand bag but looks soooo much better.

I’d highly recommend hopping on an email list or however they are selling it now and just waiting for it to come back in stock. It took me a long time to get it but it might be my favorite golf purchase other than my playable hickory set.

Love that you made your own hickory clothes! Very cool. Because I am talentless I went to Featured Products

This spot has great knicker selection and the price is killer imo.

The only thing I haven’t done is gotten an old timey pair of spikes but the ones I want are more than my entire hickory set.

Maybe one day I’ll customize some footjoys but it’s hard to stomach the price tag when my whole hickory set top to bottom is all in around $400.

Be sure to get your initials or the Shapland crest when you order! I got both, although I can’t remember if that was a free upgrade or not.
