Whoop Band | NLU Group Code: COMM-NLUNLU

Hmmmm, I could have mistaken the form field I had for a promo code field. I had a year long sub gift card code that I put in there, but it may not work for promo codes.

I just went through it, didn’t see a place to put in a promo code.

It wasn’t there for me either. I went ahead and bit the bullet.

Gotcha. I must have mistaken the gift card form field for a catch all form field for all codes.

I have a credit for this month I want to use, but also want to upgrade, I reached out via the app to see if I can still upgrade and use it.

Their CS within the app was really good. I bought a new clasp that chipped and they gave me a refund

Would agree, I used it when mine stopped working a few weeks ago. Just had to send some photos showing it was not on and wouldn’t turn on, even when charging, and they 2-day shipped me a new one.

The new battery pack looks to be USB-C which is sick

Just so I’m not missing something the key updates are:

  • Haptic alarm
  • Body temperature sensors
  • Pulse oximeter
  • Smaller?

Am I missing anything?

New optical sensor (4 green, 1 red, 1 infrared). Same battery life. Ability to wear it on other apparel (shorts, boxers, etc). Water proof battery pack.

Oddly excited for the waterproof battery. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve thrown mine out of the shower when realizing I had it on…

Same. I mean as dumb of a feature as it sounds. It’s going to be incredibly convenient. I’ve got lucky 2-3 times with battery getting wet. Could have easily been 100-200 in batteries lol

If you bought an 18-month membership last October when you got a Whoop 3.0, you got a Whoop 3.0 and 18 months worth of membership. Is there an issue with that, somehow?

Could you tell if the old pack will work with 4.0?

Until I see Ray Maker review the heart rate monitor and I see if they are still using the stupid “last five minutes of deep sleep” to determine HRV and recovery, I will sit it out.

I switched over to Polar and they do HRV based on an average of your first 4 hours sleep and the results are so much more consistent and make so much more sense. Gone are the days where a month averages 75 for my HRV and I have days at 130 and days at 35. Gone are the days of great recovery after a 4 hour hard bike ride where I can barely fathom activity the next day. Really want to see if they fix that.

Nope. The new battery pack charges wirelessly.

It says “if you have 6+ months left” you should get a free 4.0. Instead it’s making me buy an extension.

How long is the “initial WHOOP 3.0 commitment period”? Apparently 18 months?

Doubtful. New whoop 4.0 is smaller; so old battery probably won’t fit.

And as @marklemcd said they went to wireless charging

I am super annoyed I ordered two new bands last week…glad i at least hadnt worn one yet…that bad boy is going back.
