The Drake tunes were banging and the HR was up. Way up.
I have noticed; the music I run too changes my strain score.
Recovery and HRV in the tank today. Got a fairly significant sunburn after a beach day yesterday. Definitely didn’t drink enough water and should have known better to put sunscreen on earlier in the day.
Those sound like first world problems for someone still in the cold…
Feel better.
Thanks man. On vacay in Charleston, SC for the week.
Not sure what I expected my recovery to be, but didn’t expect it to be 8% with 55 HRV. Other than my burns, my body feels totally fine.
Shot myself in the foot yesterday. Let the whoop die during a V busy Sunday. Was trending up the board! Hate to see it.
I think I’ve finished two Sundays at the top of the Strain page when I’ve had a soccer game that day - yesterday’s was particularly rough with a 12% recovery from the night previous. I might join a midweek league and see if it helps me get back into shape even quicker.
I then rounded off the day with walking 9 in the evening - today if my strain gets above 1.0 then I’m doing too much.
This thing is wild. I walked for nearly 6 hours straight yesterday at the Cleveland Zoo. On feet the entire time, and arguably more steps than 18 holes, but resulted in less than half the strain of a normal round. Obviously not pushing/carrying my bag so I expected a lesser strain, but I was tired by the end of the day and got zilch for it strain wise.
I can usually get 6.1 strain sitting at my desk all day and doing some chores, without the 6 hour hike. Maybe it was situated on my wrist differently inside my coat and not reading right.
No its because every time you hit the ball the wrist sensor is jolted and thus your strain golfing is wrong. That’s why all the pga guys wear it on the bicep.
Oooooo good looking out. That makes so much sense.
Back to normal after a day of hydration and staying out of the sun. Wear your sunscreen!
Just got that second vaccine dose.
Let’s see what whoop thinks tomorrow.
I have settled that either the Aenema album by Tool or a RATM playlist I have made are the best lifting music and deffo good for a few extra reps here and there and maybe an extra plate when benching.
You have to wear it uncomfortably tight on your wrist. I have no issues but mine tight.
Just to come back to this — I took pictures to send to Whoop customer service with my request for some kind of explanation about what was going on and the guy was like “it’s threaded wrong and would be slipping… here’s how to thread it”.
No further issues with the data and it’s more comfortable threaded properly as well…
I think this is where I’ve landed. People don’t realize how uncomfortably tight it should be. It sucked to wear for almost 3 weeks until I got used to it.
Now go listen to Rory on Whoop’s podcast. Thanks.
Or it can be nice and comfy on your upper arm.
