Just got mine through, have been a run and a walk and it’s got me at 13.9 strain.

Cracked the top 10 (for the week) with 15.1 strain average… 0 days of golf…

Trying to match my strain up to rest as well, lets see how this weekend goes.

So for all of the occasional cigar smokers out there, how do you account for it in the journal? It asks for “servings” but I’m not sure how to account for a cigar vs. a cigarette.

Is Hideki wearing a WHOOP over his wrist tape? Seems to defeat the whole purpose if the sensor isn’t making skin contact.

I think the optical sensor can go through tape. I think I saw a discussion about this somewhere else.

Is Hideki a fluffer?!?!?!?!? :joy::rofl:

Is there a new discount code?

Checkout is telling me COMM-43CE09 is not valid anymore

That’s not a discount code, that’s to join our group. The Discount code is, I think NOLAYINGUP

After a double hole-in-one bar extravaganza at the club on Masters Sunday I woke yesterday to a whopping 12% recovery. No Bueno.

But, today was back to 94%! My body is a temple and a finely tuned machine indeed.

Seeing the recovery bounce back after a rough day or two is so exciting. Had a rough weekend with a 31%-36% and was a bit worried so very excited to wake up yesterday and today to >90%

I’m not seeing the sorts of differences people have suggested based on wrist vs bicep.

Three rounds of golf in the past month (that in itself is a problem but I’m working on it!)

Wrist, 5hr round, 12.8 strain
Wrist, 3h30 round, 8.9 strain
Bicep, 3h55 round, 12.7 strain

The only difference in the rounds other than the duration was that the 5hr was on a hillier course than the other two and the 8.9 was more of a casual stroll hitting shots while the other two were competitive rounds.

Some people don’t. I think it’s a combination of wrist type and strap tightness. I’m someone who doesn’t have inflated wrist numbers.

Others will walk 18 and strain scores will be 17+…

I ran 6 miles the other day and was at 15…

I’ve found the problem, you just need to be painfully out of shape like I am. Those consistent runs are deflating your golf strain numbers.

I do wonder about this plus the location as possible contribution to this “accuracy” topic. I wear mine solidly tight and a full finger or more down (up??) From my wrist bone. It’s closer to my elbow than hand compared to my wrist watch.

Yea I was talking to someone I know about it.

I’m similar in the spot I wear it. And I keep it fairly tight. And I wonder how many people wear it slightly too loose and when they hit the ball it moves.

I remember mine felt uncomfortable when I first wore it

6:54 sleep two nights ago. Very low strain day the day before. 22% recovery.

3:12 sleep last night (college coaching stuff), walked 16 holes the day before (with a side trip to the range to check on a player), 12.3 strain… 83% recovery.

Sometimes I don’t know.

As someone with an 11 month old, recovery, almost has little to do with amount of sleep. But more quality of sleep.
