holy f… ok i didnt think that would apply but that is crazy
We met on Tinder too so they should have chipped in for our wedding.
Just bought a Whoop - hoping to get my fitness levels back up and super interested in the feedback. Everyone seems to love the insights here.
Big day for WHOOP I guess
Edit: and I now see this was posted already, a mere 5 hours ago. Sorry about the repost!
Does anyone know where to find/how to sift through the Journal entries to see how different things affect recovery? I’ve been doing the Journal everyday but can’t find where to access the entries and see how everything impacts me…
We bought a purple mattress 2.5 years ago and have absolutely loved it as well. I have started to notice that there is a very slight indent on my side - and it’s not like I’m a big guy (165 lbs). Curious if you or others have run into this problem?
May I join the refuge team? Got a whoop in December. If anything, whoop has made me more aware of my sleep habits, and I find that I focus on getting better sleep. It helps that I saw Matt Walker speak last fall, and he terrified me
Sleep is your superpower
Had the same question – I don’t think it’s sortable until you’re a month in.
It comes in your monthly assessment (takes a month)
Ahh yep found it. Very cool! Thank you!
Who knew alcohol improved my recovery… I guess that’s within reason. Usually I have one drink. I can’t imagine the night I went ham contributed to better recovery… lol
I personally have not noticed. I’m 215-219 depending on the time of day, shout out Bryson. I can’t remember what number we bought but I am all in on the purple mattress. have the 25lb purple pillow as well. The best part is the sheets.
Idiot…
Looking at Refuge whoop group, the recovery leaderboard. @Soly has a 97% recovery with an incredibly low heart rate variability and extremely high resting heart rate, literally the opposite of what I understand recovery to be based on. I realize recovery is unique to each individual, but it begs the question, as asked by Big Randy of many a player; is Soly dead?
I am in the same boat as @Soly with my HRV. It is always low and I’ve researched it quite a bit bc I can’t stand seeing a low number. Baseline HRV can vary a lot from person to person. Whoop uses baseline HRV to help determine recovery so an increase from a person’s baseline is used. Also, the older you get the lower your baseline tends to be. With that said I am still trying to figure out how to get mine higher. I think I’ve narrowed it down to stress. Ashwagandha and box breathing seem to have helped some lately.
My numbers went way up as I got in better shape. Lost 30 lbs and did a lot of cardio work
OMG my HRV is so low. 21 today… Saw someone on the group with 178. Whaaaaaaat
Also, POOSH daddy is in the Whoop group, how cool!
Should I be alarmed at my heart rate? Asking very seriously.
How do you join the Refuge Whoop band group? I am a very un-sold Whoop user, but trying to just stick with it and continue to compile data.
My resting heart rate is high, too. Always has been. Nobody’s (doctors) ever been concerned. I’ve asked about it a few times, too.
What is your resting heart rate? Is it higher or lower than @Tron’s score today?
