Windy but awesome day at Town and Country Links in Woodstown, NJ. The 13th is a par 3 Island green (aka TPC Woodstown), and the course also has some cool elevated tees.
Adena Club in Ocala. Very fun course with a wild set of par 3s. Ton of fun even though it was roughly 137° today.

Three of the four Par 3s
Back from the annual Thursday to Sunday trip to Fife this past weekend.
We played:
Thursday - Ladybank - inland heathland course
Friday - Lundin Links (am) and Elie (pm)
Saturday - Anstruther 9 (am) and Crail Balcomie Links (pm)
Sunday - Dumbarnie
99 holes in 4 days is a lot especially in pretty windy conditions but only rained on a few holes and Sunday the wind dropped on the back 9 at Dumbarnie and the sun came out. Glorious.
Par 4 - 18th at Ladybank
Par 3 - 12th at Lundin Links - 12 / 13 and 14 play along a ridge that gives views across the rest of the course and neighbouring Levin Links
Par 4 - 12th at Elie - wind was way up here as well off the left and hurting making it a very long 466 yd par 4.
Par 3 - 5th at Anstruther - 240 yd par 3 into the wind with a blind green. Quite a wild hole.
Par 4 - 4th (Flake Dub) at Crail Balcomie Links. The wind was WHIPPING along the coast making this one and the 5th, Hell’s Hole, play so tough.
Thoughts on the centerline tree on 17? Provocative to say the least, also hilarious that 15 is the same exact hole minus the tree.
17 on the left
Same level, different difficulty setting
Should make one extremely large shared biarritz for both holes. If you are going to be boring, as least be interesting.
Might as well, I’ve seen a few first timers there line up at 17 green from 15 fairway anyway lol
Played Farmington Woods today in Avon, CT. Bit of a tight piece of property in some parts since there’s condos which isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but the greens were nice and had cool elevation changes on some holes
Yeah 15 was a tough scene, just getting to the apex corner with a long iron was rough with the wind in your face, and of course the water. On 17, we purposely sliced it to get around the tree line. A little more room for error, but yeah it’s the exact same hole basically.
Last hole of the last night of spring league play. My first hole in one.
Fairway Hills Golf Course #9 165 Par 3
Recapped it here in the Amateur golf thread but got out to course #229 for me, quaint little Madera GCC, set in the heart of the Central Valley just north of Fresno. Surrounded by nut tree orchards, not as flat as I would’ve thought. Small ass greens. I really liked the vibe of this place……definitely blue color.
Huge Scotland dump comimg over next 2 weeks.
We start with.
The Glen Golf Club - East Links
North Berwick, Scotland
Designed by James Braid and Ben Sayers
Our 1st round into the Scottish golf trip was on this fun cliffside (not links) course. Views of the sea, North Berwick Law, and Bass Rock are provided on every hole and views of Tantallon Castle and the town of North Berwick on a few holes. Perfect warm up fresh off the flight to get the body moving up and down the cliffs and acclimated to the wind. We had 5 full days in East Lothian and absolutely recommend this place if looking to add a round.
Dunbar
Old Tom Morris
James Braid
Ben Sayers
Dunbar was tremendous. Sunny Dunny as its know for getting the least rainfall according to a caddy was a shorter course but not easy. 3-17 hug an old wall and the coastline and provided numerous shot options to attempt to manage the wind and slopes and avoid the pot bunkers. A true out and back routing. 1, 2 and 18 get overlooked for being inside the wall but I thought they were a nice gentle handshake and finish knowing how difficult the middle of the round can get. (Routing changes are in works when new clubhouse is finished making 2 the new 1 and 1 the new 18.) An absolute must play in the East Lothian area.
didn’t take nearly enough pictures, but a few from our 11th annual first annual at Diamante Dunes in Cabo. Place was incredible and windy as hell. Dunes course was the star but Tiger’s El Cardonal surprised us all too!
Musselburgh Links Old, Scotland
Took ourselves back in time, circa 1567 for this round playing hickories on the oldest course in the world. It is quaintly rugged and fit inside a horse racetrack. Free drop if in a hoof print. Recommend it highly as a morning round to help smooth out swing issues and activate the artist side od the brain.
Assume from the pic that you played Musselburgh with hickories? Very fun way to start or end a day.
So fun. Couldnt imagine playing it with modern clubs.
North Berwick Golf Club, Scotland
North Berwick is Perfection. History, coastline, sense of place in town, great holes, quirky holes, famous holes, infamous holes, and a welcoming staff. Felt like a course I wish I could call home. Shot of the day, @Scuba_steve60 drove the pit. (Had 5 birdies, all 2 putts)
