Yes, the paint apparently is a preventative measure for “red ants” which I presume are fire ants, and are specifically called out in local rules as a reason for relief.

How was the air quality when you played?

Pretty good I guess. Did not notice it.

Yep, and this is extremely common practice as pest defense on trees all across former USSR, MidEast, Asia, etc. Like imagine all the trees in your street or in your backyard being painted white the bottom 5 feet

El Tigre in Nuevo Nayarit, Mexico.

Was tough coming back to the -25 in Montana after a lovely week of 78 degrees on the beach.

8 of us from RACDG NorCal got out to scruffy Bing Maloney in Sacramento yesterday for some quota and match play competition. Course was a little muddy but we were all in short sleeves by the back nine. Love these dudes.

Not sure where to put this, but just a hat tip to the two sickos I saw playing Overpeck Golf Course in Teaneck yesterday. I will play in some bad conditions, but 29 degrees and feels like sub 20 is a bit much for me.

I was able to get a taste of desert golf for the first time as I played Talking Stick O’odham with my son. We got paired with two singles, one guy who us a retired lawyer from DC who shot a smooth 1 or 2 over. What a player. Smaller dude who could absolutely move the ball and was fantastic company as a bonus.

I loved the course and it was in fantastic shape. I would love to play it again.

Let’s just say I was rusty. However, the 5w to 8 feet for birdie at the last will keep me coming back for more!
