With the US Open being on West Coast time this year I woke up early and drove a couple of hours to Red Lodge (Montana) to play a new course for me.
The bad:
14 of 18 greens had (what I assume was) extreme winter kill and there was no heads up on the conditions. Only found out when I got to the first green. Enjoyed the course but wouldn’t have driven 4.5 hours round trip to play it if I had known the conditions.
The cool:
18 has a dual centerline tree that I thought was well done
