It’s basically first come, first serve. Once someone highlights that date as open for a sub on the google sheet, whoever puts their name down first gets the spot.
I suppose this is an opening to discuss whether this is the best system or whether a priority/waiver wire type system might be better. Perhaps once you sub in you move to the bottom of the priority list and only can sub once everyone ahead of you passes, or fails to claim after a certain time period?
We had regular subs that got enough rounds to be in rankings and post season. I welcome all newcomers but also counter with hitting minimum rounds for the season chase group.
As someone in the James Hahn group when it comes to breakfast club status, I welcome first come first served.
I think that works for best vs a move to back of line list.
As a former sub, and now full time member, my vote is to keep the current meritocracy of first come first serve on subs.
I think this would be the best way for subs who come more often to get in rounds, but also I think figuring out a system that works is way too hard so the first come first serve basis on the sub sheet in the google sheet has worked out to get a sub assignment ASAP.
This is also coming from a gui who never has to worry about subbing in so open to changing it

Man am I gonna miss silently casting shade on all your rounds when drinking my coffe reviewing your scores each week. “Wow @PinkPantser hit 4 straight GIRs and was +2 on those holes somehow, dang.”

Big data for the win. Google forum is the new king and cannot wait to make some adjustment so we can track tilt scores as well.

We are 10 days away from week 1 of WBC 2023! I am so stoked for this year and some of the rule changes.
Quick reminder to venmo our CC points man @TheAbeFroman either the 605 or 575 (if you already have a players pass and let jon know). I believe he is paying it this week.
This year we are playing Tilt and we will be carrying over the tilt multiplier week to week. This should mean that hole one will have a bit more volatility in scoring, which I personally love.
I have made edits to the google form to account for Tilt and unlike last year you will only need to fill out the Google Form and Google and I will take care of the rest. Once a month I will show a comparison to where we ended up last year for all you nerds. I am interested to see if any other holes outside of 1 (due to the new tee) will have drastic changes.
For the best chance of getting a sub to fill your spot, fill out the sub sheet.
