Visiting the Titleist Performance Institute Feat. D.J., Casey, and Cody

The crew visits TPI. Guess I should look at my calendar for the spring, could be fun.

Seems more like a late fall / winter visit so you can have the full winter to groove the feel. Trying to take on the kind of changes I suspect they’d recommend when I’m also trying to go play all the time sounds rough

Love watching this stuff, but always frustrating how far out of reach it feels for me to be able to fly across the country and link up with their premier staff and monopolize his time for hours.

EDIT: To be clear, yes. I’m jealous. Quite jealous.

So…uhh…what flag is that in the Wayward Golfer’s hand?

Also, great video. I love stuff like this…but also hate it because it makes me overthink my own swing at times…and…similar to jdw’s post:

Hey @ChickPhilA, what are we looking at here?

It’s not as far out of reach as you think. I’m only using myself as an example here, but… I have a GEARS system. I have force plates. I have a QuadMAX. I have HackMotion. I have SAM PuttLab (and Capto). Etc.

I’m not the only one. There are many, many people out there that have great tech and a great understanding of the golf swing.

TPI is very good at what they do… but so are other people. Find someone near you. It’s closer than you probably think.

Wayward drive holding a Tennessee tri-star flag. From last year’s Roost Club Championship at Sweetens Cove in, well, Tennessee.

(side note, there are TPI certified fitness and golf professionals all over the country)

I may need a wayward FCF pullover…

Got ya. The colors in the middle being reversed (the white on logo should be blue and vice versa) make it look…ummm…problematic at a quick glance.

Joking aside - this is awesome. Really neat to see - learning about swing and biomechanics is stuff I nerd out on. Well done @ChickPhilA @djpie @Cody

Should’ve gone once you got your NIT spot. Doubtful you win NIT this year now.

To be fair it’s always been doubtful.

Man. What an awesome video. As someone who is TPI certified that was so enjoyable. If I could have a fraction of Dr. Roses knowledge I’d be a better provider. Guy is a genius with this stuff.

What force plates do you use?

We’ve had BodiTrak (meh) and SwingCatalyst (were among the first 20 or so with that). Still have both, just don’t use those two as much anymore. Know anyone who wants a SwingCat?
