Inspired by the generic nature of the Utah Hockey Club (RIP, now the Mammoth), we are excited to announce the second iteration of the Utah Golf Event. We will be playing a net scoring round on Saturday morning 10/11 around 10am at Wasatch Mountain - Lake Course, a consensus favorite among the Utah locals.
We are also planning on playing an optional Friday evening (10/10) 9-hole round at Forest Dale GC and an optional Sunday morning (10/12) 18-hole round at Bonneville GC, both great Salt Lake City munis. I currently have 2 tee times booked at Wasatch Lake, but if we have increased demand, I can add more.
For the @DryHeat members, this will be one of the events to determine our Regional team next summer.

** There will be a charitable component. All attendees will need to secure their spot by contributing $20 to the First Tee of Utah. I’ve included a link to the donation page in the sign-up sheet. Please DM me a screenshot of your donation for confirmation.
** Signup deadline will be Sunday 9/21 to make sure we can drop tee times or secure additional times.

Once again bummed I won’t make it. Big extended family vacation that week. Hate that I won’t be there. Also in on the idea of a summer outing. We seem to end up in Utah a couple weeks each summer.
Dang, unfortunately traveling the weekend before for a wedding and don’t think I’ll be able to make back to back weekends work. Love the idea of a summer event to escape the heat.
I have gotten a confirmation that I will not be there. Thank you Chandler and Gilbert school districts for having different weeks for fall break this year again. I have verbally committed to Tucson and New Mexico and await any NIL or appearance fee money discussions from those tournament organizers. Hopefully @TheSwimmingPool and @GolfGuyRN’s boy at Tech can throw me a few sheckles.
If you are thinking about going, Ben and Kyler and the whole Utah crew are the most gracious hosts. And the local golf is ridiculously affordable compared to overseed szn here.

I unfortunately have to pull out of the event. My wife got word last night that she is needed at a conference from 10/9-10/11 and I can’t find anyone to help with the kids for the weekend.
The trophy has been acquired, it’s getting real! I may also have another (much better) prize for the champ. That’ll be revealed later (must be part of the roost for that prize).
