Great day! My wife got a serious kick out of seeing the pic of an actual tumbleweed trophy. So thanks @wiz for putting that together. Thanks captain @RolandOfGilead and @KMola14 for all the prep and hard work. Had a blast. @Waffles thanks for being an amazing partner, happy the dream team pulled through. One of the most fun days I’ve ever had on a course.

Could not have asked for a better tournament or a better group of guys to play with. This event is quickly becoming one of my favorite weekends of the year. Big shoutout to @KMola14 and @RolandOfGilead for all the planning and organizing.
Tournament week started off great with an ultra comfy 27 with @RolandOfGilead and @beriganr. Such a fun afternoon and finished a match in the lowest of light. Beat @RolandOfGilead being carried by my partner; some might say it was a sign of things to come.
Morning Best Ball with @RolandOfGilead and @wiz was so great. Fun group. Always a blessing with these gentlemen.
Mid-Morning Alt-Shot with @BrysonsLats and @JosieWon. Great to catch with these two absolutely perfect gentlemen.
Afternoon 18 with @Daler75 and @matthew823. Could have not asked for a better pair to play our round with. Vibes were great. Always enjoy a round with you guys.
My Partner, @Landonhitch, please ice your back after carrying my corpse through the turn. I was excited when I saw we were going to play together. Our randomly monthly rounds are some of my most favorite times. I look forward to more rounds in the future and defending our crown next year.
For the rest of the roost that I didn’t get to play with or chill with because of the infamous 4/4 invasion of Aguila 9, lets play together soon.

I am exhausted but very grateful for the group and a really fun event. Thanks so much @RolandOfGilead and @KMola14. Enjoyed spending the day with @ComfyDouble - a great dude who we miss in Phoenix but are fortunate to still have in the region. Since this was my first Major I also felt it necessary to pay tribute to the Godfather @MerchCzar by shooting +8 on the final four holes. Play that music baby!

It was a hell of a day @GeneralTSo - great playing with you. Miss all you guys down here, but I’ll be down here every now and then, so I’ll be lurking around around the PHX area threads. Favorite part of the day was playing as an 8-some on the short course. Thanks @KMola14 and @RolandOfGilead for putting on another amazing event!

We might have stumbled upon a great new wrinkle for next year. We start the morning with (hopefully) 3 groups of 8 playing Alt Shot instead of Best Ball. We finish that round quicker as a group overall and get into the first tee line earlier so we actually have a lunch break haha.

On second thought, what are everyone’s thoughts on playing the 18 hole course in the morning and finishing with 2 loops on the 9 holer? Yesterday afternoon’s pace was pretty f’ing brutal.
I think it would be sweet to have the 4 leading teams go off last with 9 holes of Alt Shot determine the winners.

I agree the pace yesterday was absolutely brutal.
Looking at the results from yesterday, we would have had 3 to 4 groups in it going into the two 9 hole rounds.
Also could allow for a chiller afternoon when I shoot myself out of it next year and I can pound beers and heckle the groups ahead.

Yeah, unfortunately there would probably be a little more separation in team scores after the 18 holes of net, but I think the vibe might be better in the afternoon. We could add a charity donation “punishment” for the team that finishes in last place to incentivize some effort for teams that shoot themselves out on contention in the morning haha.

Thinking about it, might bet pretty cool to have the groups in it play in a 6 or 8some if possible on the short course. Could really make for some excitement. Especially since someone is gonna “win it” with birdies instead of holding on for dear life.

Exactly, I’m thinking we ditch best ball altogher and have 2 rounds of Alt Shot, but second time through you have to switch who tees off on the odd number holes. 8somes playing 4 balls.
A little more added pressure not to screw your partner if scores are tight.
