Save the date: Saturday March 4th, 2023
Location: Aguila Golf Course - both 9 hole and 18 hole courses
Cost: $115 for golf (due at course day of), $20 donation to Youth on Course to confirm your spot (can DM me a receipt of donation)
Format: After a great inaugural event last year that just lacked a little juice at the end, we’ll mix it up with a new two-man team format for this year’s Phoenix event. The teams will be picked by a semi-blind draw based on handicaps.
24 players - 12 teams of 2
Two rounds at the short 9 hole course in the morning
First round - team best ball (gross)
Second round - team alt shot (gross)
Afternoon round at the Championship 18 hole course
highest scores from the first two rounds go off first, lowest scores last
Team Net Stroke (count both scores)
Pending daylight, the top 2 teams will play another alt shot round around the short course. Lowest score wins (gross).
Bump for visibility: despite being a two-person team event, this will be our Roost’s Major event with one NIT spot up for grabs. The winning team will receive an NIT spot and it will most likely go to the player with the lower net score in the 18 hole round, with the other team member being the alternate.
Looking forward to another great event! The sheet didn’t allow me to put the “+” in front of my handicap so I put a “-”, just in case that causes any confusion.
Who is down to play some extra golf Friday 3/3? I am planning to drive over from ABQ and arrive around lunch time. Would love to meet up and play with some of y’all that afternoon.
Also, the new Glendale PopStroke should be open by that Saturday. No idea if it’ll be any good, but we could potentially head over there for some beers, dinner, and some competitive mini golf haha.
Currently, all 24 spots are accounted for! Deadline to confirm your spot with the $20 donation to Youth on Course is Friday, February 3rd.
Alternate spots are still available. If you would like to play, go ahead and put your name down on the list, and if there are unconfirmed spots after Feb 3rd, you can confirm a spot by making the donation.
A week or so prior to the deadline I will be sure to follow up with a reminder to anyone who hasn’t yet confirmed.
Thanks everyone, and if you have any questions do not hesitate to ask.
This event looks awesome! I would like to signup but the sheet won’t let me add/edit?

I am a newbie on this forum, moved to chandler from Seattle in 2017, Ocotillo/Raven are the main courses that I play via Arcis Prime. Looking forward to this if there’s still room!
(Looks like there are two spots left if I can figure out how to get on the sheet)
