Thank you everyone for coming out last weekend! I think we can say that the inaugural Tumbleweed Two Ball was an undeniable success. We crowned two deserving champions: @Waffles and @Landonhitch played their tails off to get the win; Trevor parlayed the team win and net 74 to secure his spot in the 2023 Nest Invitational Tournament. Special thanks to @KMola14 for organizing the event; @wiz for making an absolutely sick trophy; and @Nacho for coming all the way from Michigan to tee it up with us. We raised somewhere around $400 for Youth on Course and $100 for Animal Humane New Mexico.
It was a little hard to tell due to our awesome format, but the competition was very close down the stretch. There was a three way tie after 13 holes! Trevor and Landon ultimately buckled down for a comfy 4 shot win. @ComfyDouble and @GeneralTSo fell off the podium on the 18th hole (sorry).
Having never played Aguila before, I have to say that the place simply fuqs. I’m a big “sure the course is good, but is it actually fun to play?” guy, and Aguila’s answer is a resounding YES. Combined with a good short course, you couldn’t really ask for a better venue for our signature event without paying 2-3+X more. We have a solid muni scene here in Albuquerque, and Aguila stands clearly above. You guys have a special thing going there. Our mascot(s) paying several visits was confirmation and I will hear no arguments to the contrary.
