That’s internet anonymity for you! I worked at Reddit for several years. We’d post stuff like, “Hey, we’re donating $1M to kids who are homeless and parentless after the tsunami.”
And we’d inevitably have thousands of people say, “oh, so you want the old people to die? Our subreddit is going to boycott.”

I didn’t take that as a personal attack as much as a statement that like 50 people have brought this up in the buck club thread? people are either all-in on the idea or they’re made they can’t burn heaters.
