Glad he gave a shoutout to the drive on SR13 south out of Julington Creek. I’ve mentioned it elsewhere on the Refuge. Very scenic.
Barely any mention of the local golf scene. Truly impressive.
Not much mention of the local grocery store scene either. I did want to bring to everyone’s attention that Publix is building a Greenwise store across the street from an existing store in St. John’s county near World Golf Village. Ruthless commitment to absolutely dominating in Florida. Link: St. Johns County to get second GreenWise Market at World Golf Village and here’s a pin showing where this is going with the Publix across the street: Google Maps
Edit: Also disappointed we didn’t get a mea culpa for assuming the Lake Nona wedding was an Orlando family merger. Melanie & Alfredo deserve better.
Lew has been one of us, big NLU gui, for a while. Fun twitter follow, never takes himself too seriously. Makes morning news tolerable around these parts.
Yeah but if he does move to Minnesota, we all know everyone dates Minneapolis but they marry St. Paul.
Bigger question is the Big Guy really moving? I have no idea what’s a bit anymore and it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if he really was.
@Randy we’ve got a whole crew in the MN contingent who would love to show you around town when you’re ready to make a site visit. Though let’s save it for sometime after Memorial Day to allow us to make the best impression.
On the plus side if he does move by July, we’d actually get a real Minnesotan on the Trap Draw.
@Randy I support the choice of Portland, ME on your short list, but how could you leave off NH? Golf, skiing, beaches, mountains, four seasons… big oversight
@Tron im sure there are people with more intimate knowledge than me, but sources have told me they call it CU Boulder because of the potential confusion with the UC system in California.
As a native Floridian, I see nine other states that get cold on a more frequent basis (five~ of nine that get serious cold) and the only continental state where you can watch the sunrise and sunset from the beach. Anyway, top 10 is still great baybeee!
It’s a weird thing all the Big 6/8 schools do. University of Kansas is KU. University of Missouri is MU. University of Oklahoma is OU. University of Colorado is CU. University of Nebraska doesn’t really need an abbreviation, but NU is sometimes used (UNL too). It’s now very dumb those schools are now in four different conferences.
