This was a big story out here when I was in HS.
I love Edinburgh (not just because I was born there) but, you’d be better to fly to NY, get on the non stop A350ULR to Singapore. Play golf in the mornings, explore Singapore and it’s attractions in the arvo, and then take your seat in a grandstand in the evening / night for the Formula 1!
Tourist sauce season 8?
@Lazstradamus my wife, having grown up in the valley, found your “hollywood is the Spencer’s of socal” metaphor to be both hilarious and spot-on
I think LA takes the lead in the big @Randy relocation rankings
As someone who has lived in both Southern and Northern California, I just cannot see @Randy vibing in a lot of parts of L.A. – yes, there are great spots to be, but I feel like he’d be way more at home up here with Frankie Molinari.
What’s a worse hang - influencers and aspiring actors, who refer to celebrities they don’t know by their first name … or tech bros? I’ve made my choice.
I agree but a health food hang out sounds like Trader Joe’s on steroids. I have a buddy who joined F45 in Venice for a short time two years ago just because that’s where all the local models and influencers were working out.
If @Randy is looking at California he’d fit in most in San Diego. The pace of life down here is better.
Tough scene, tax-wise for @Randy with a FL to CA transition. It’s TX, TN, NH, WA, NV or bust for the big man
didnt Molinari move to LA?
I thought so but the guys on the pod seemed convinced it was in San Francisco and that Pebble Beach was big on the home field advantage … that did not work out
It was originally reported that he’d moved to SF last year but it seems it was more like he was checking it out?
“We flew over in mid July and spent some time in San Francisco but in the end decided to move down to L.A.,” [Molinari] said.
From here: Francesco Molinari returns – in Las Vegas not Wentworth - Worldwide Golf
He’s a member at Riv now too so the #homegame models should be off the charts this week.
Also, the San Gabriel Valley is home to several of the most vibrant Asian and Asian-American communities in the country. And has five times as many Michelin-starred and bib gourmand restaurants as Santa Monica.
@Lazstradamus: “Sometimes I have to play Annandale when my regular game at Riv gets canceled.”
Wendy’s!!! totally biased on this one “growing up” working and living in Wendy’s, BUT Wendy’s Double Cheese is unbeatable. Spicy Chicken with cheese as a close second.
Without instilling a heavily opinionated fast food war Dave Thomas was an awesome dude that worked hard and gave back. A very simple read and cool book is Dave’s Way. Anyone in the restaurant industry this book has some pretty interesting simplistic views that are applicable too many running the operations and or daily business.

Please excuse my limited opportunities to speak to my Wendy’s infatuations and pride. Love the TrapDraw…
Additionally Shout out too Randy and talking about Coast To Coast with Art Bell. Growing up used to catch it after Richmond Braves games. In college it was fun to get back from bars late night and turn on old Mr. Bell…
Apples > Oranges
Wendy’s Training Videos on YouTube are second to none. Highly recommend. Uncle Dave’s cameos in them are A+.
I need @Tron to enlighten us on why Rancho Park is so famous. To me just a muni, a decent one, but nothing special.
El Pollo Loco?!? Never. It’s not good at all. (sorry @topflitetopper )
@CaptainHarlow- I’ve kept an office in El Segundo for 3 years. I know the brewery, I know Sausul, I know the Lakes, I know the sandwich places. You know what I mean by “it stinks” and while you’re right, it doesn’t always stink, the water processing plant can produce a challenging scent.
Listen, guise…Would @anon47037505 have been a better guest than me? Probably. But when you perform so poorly in your first shot at the Big Leagues (see: Sin City) it’s hard to expect another call-up. Would 1st & Deek have been better? No. Hell no.
Charro Chicken (OC, Long Beach and Torrance) is lightyears better than El Pollo Loco.
I’d like to say that Yoshinoya is the worst fast food eatery I’ve experienced in the LA area.
