I think there’s a massive gap after Mahomes at #1 before you even get to #2.
Rushing yardage aside, these seasons are practically indiscernible from one another. In my opinion to put Burrow at Mahomes’ level and Allen a tier below them is a crowning of sorts where one isn’t deserved.
It’s not perfect since rating and QBR have flaws, but at least everyone is graded the same way and then compared. It’s really useful for comparing across generations: Manning and Brady each had a season around 150 and nobody has really touched that since.
I agree with this, and I cannot believe that the #1 QB in the NFL is even a debate. If his team wins another SB, he could retire the day after the SB and he would be in the Hall of Fame after 5 seasons as a starter. Mahomes is head and shoulders over every other QB.
The shanny slurp is tough to take. That said, all I kept thinking as @Tron And @Pooshdaddy dismissed Hurts as a qb is if you put Hurts on this 9ers roster they would be favored by 10 1/2 or more over this Chiefs team and everyone would have Hurts in their top 3 qbs without question!
Stop playing with us. Listened to the 2+ hour trap draw NFL podcast, and only one of the hosts had Jared Goff in the top 10. He only beat the Jags and Giants by a combined 9 scores, two QBs in the top 10, swept the Packers, were an unplayable field in Charlotte or a fraudulent roughing the punter in Seattle away from the playoffs. One host admitted that they didn’t watch a lot of lions this year (I don’t even watch TV). Stop playing with us. Don’t let these tears fool you, all dawg in this mug.
