Sorry, platinum. I always lump the two together from my time in hotels and dealing with the damn Fine Hotels and Resorts program.
Low hangers are portillos and Alâs. But what about UB dogs or Lukes in the loop or johnnies ?
Canât go wrong with the wiener circle either
I love that the McDonaldâs next door set up a fence so people couldnât use their ketchup.
Savagery. I love it.
Too bad with gatg. Itâs kind of the pioneer for west loop dining before anyone was over there. Now with McDonaldâs hq and all the other offices moving there, ton of new entrants. Hope it all comes back after Covid.
This is more of a St Louis thing methinks
And Alâs Beef
Itâs literally got the Chicago flag incorporated into the logo on the bottle!
Jayâs Beef in Schiller Park is tremendous.
Girl and the Goat blows. The whole Stephanie Izard hype is overdone.
There, I said it.
No Alinea? Disgraceful. Itâs the best restaurant in the US!
Talking Chicago food, Band of Bohemia blew my mind.
Alinea is now overrated and overpriced for what it is. Went there (AIR) the other night as we are in chicago for a few days, and was highly underwhelmed.m. Save the money and go to Next or Roister. Same quality of food at half the price.
Closed forever due to COVID and mistreatment of employees.
Didnât know about the employee treatment, obviously you know way more than I do pertaining to the food scene there.
Yeah. I worked with Craig, one of the owners, at Alinea when it first opened in the mid 2000s. Not surprised about the mistreatment if employees. The guy is a bastard.
Do we talk about The Aviary or no? Easily one of the coolest bar experiences I have had.
I have to agree at least on the concept of Chicago style pizza. Iâll eat good Chicago style every once in awhile but much prefer good thin crust. And as a STL Cards fan, spot on about Cubs fans. I know a handful that are legit knowledgeable baseball fans, but almost everyone I see with Cubs gear is a bandwagon fan.
