The Parking Spot Haynes. Hands down.

Spring for valet, they have your car waiting for you already cooled off and/or warmed up when the shuttle drops you back off.

So at Newark now to head down to Augusta for Saturday round at the Masters (shameless flex) but the new Terminal A at EWR is fucking mint. Really nice and open. Bright and good food options.

My fiancée is currently stuck on the tarmac for a BA flight from LHR to YVR because a passenger has diarrhea and won’t come out of the bathroom.

Already a 1.5 hour delay.

Should be a simple gate return and eviction, no need to be away from the gate for so long unless there are no gates available at LHR.

I feel for that person. Not like he/she planned that. I can’t imagine having to exit the bathroom and walk back down the aisle.

If Root Down is still open, probably one of the better actual restaurants in the airport. Good beer selection also.

Couple new airport things this weekend. The new terminal A at Newark is awesome. Really bright and open. Lots of space to walk around. Only thing I don’t love is no tablets to order. Hate waiting on someone to come and speak to me and I think the OTG people hate doing it just as much, if not more.

IAD Dulles was a new one for me. I usually fly into DCA. The place is a circus. Its tight and pretty run down. Both going, and returning, I had to take the shuttles from the A/B side to C/D side. They are pretty timely so I cannot complain there.

CAE Columbia, SC, was one of the nicer small airports. A total of 10 gates and they only fly 10 total non-stop flights year round. Security is small but with pre-check it was no big deal. I can see it being an issue without precheck. Only 2 lines for x-rays and metal detectors.

Planes were another story. EWR → IAD was the normal A350 so not the best but can always be worse. IAD to CAE was another story. Going/returning it was the CRJ-200 so it was TIGHT. Don’t want to sit in row 1 (cannot move armrests) so makes it tighter. Must gate check carryon bags too.

I presume you mean A320. UA does not have A350s in the fleet (yet). There are A350s on order, but we’ve pushed them back multiple times and I think the latest delivery time is 2029. Lots of doubt if we’ll actually take delivery of them.

Caught the Friday afternoon big boy BA A350 from LHR short final to SAN over Balboa Park Muni. Not the same as seeing the queen land (they switched the route from the 747 to the A350 in 2020 I think) but still cool to see a few big birds landing at SAN.

Flew on the A350 last summer w/ BA from LAX->LHR. Flew the A380 home LHR->ORD. Love flying on the bigs.

This parking garage has amazing views of the approaches at SAN. Just time it right with the arrival of a big plane, if you hang around too long they will kick you out (ask me how I know).
