Trap Draw : Airports 4.1 now out

where’s the lie tho?

So I’m flying out of Amsterdam soon. Will be in KLM business class, does that exempt me from the madness?

75 is still being used so heavily, the a321 and 739 are not direct replacements. My best friend just got a job as an FO for Delta, he’s thinking about flying the 75, would be sick.

The thrust of a 757 is incredible. Like a rocket off the runway. Flew a lot of them between DCA and DEN and the takeoff out of DCA is awesome in 757.

I wish Boeing had their shit together on the MAX and 777X, so they wouldn’t have had to shelve the 797 intended to replace the 757.

I just flew back from Amsterdam to ATL this past Saturday with KLM in economy - got to the airport the full four hours early around 1pm prepared for chaos and waited five minutes for check-in and about 30 seconds for security, no delays, luggage made it home, but obviously YMMV

Edit: the coach seats were an abomination though, butt was genuinely sore for hours after landing

I’ve got a top yarn about my experience with FCO but it’s probably a bit long for the likes of here!

The 757 is one of my favorite airplanes to dispatch. Long alternate required? No problem. Short runway? No problem. Need to climb to FL380 to get above weather? No problem. Fly 9 hours from TXL-EWR? No prob…wait, can be a problem if the winds are too strong (but there’s always CYQX!)

The Max should have been a 757 replacement, but the selfish bastards at WN insisted on single type rating or no deal. WN is too big to insist on a single type rating. They would actually do themselves a lot of good to diversify their fleet.

I get it from a crew portability and maintenance perspective, but generally agree with you.

@Randy The people of Seattle don’t deserve your pity regarding the state of Boeing, many of us share your sentiments. Ever since the reverse merger with McDonnell Douglas, the culture that built the company has been destroyed, to the point it has become THE case study in how not to run an engineering firm. So direct your scorn at the Boeing execs who reside in (or just outside) Chicago.

It will never not blow my mind that one of the 3 busiest airports in the world is named after a guy named Butch. What a world.

Virgin’s first class lounge in Heathrow is hands down the best lounge I’ve ever experienced. No contest. Has amazing amenities, food, bar options, etc. Even got a massage and a haircut.

You ain’t seen nothing till you rock up to the Emirates lounge in Dubai.

Then the lounges for Emirates in Hong Kong is superb, but pales in comparison to the one in Singapore… but they all pledge fealty to the goat in Dubai.

Most comfortable place I’ve ever been. You can get full barber service in that lounge.

Most disappointing lounge - Turkish Air in Istanbul. Was hyped and it sucked!
