Trap Draw : Airports 4.1 now out

I’m working with Mayor Pete on something huge. All airlines will be required to announce at each gate that grown adults are allowed to use the bathroom before boarding the plane, and do not have to sprint up and down the aisles to piss the second the plane leaves the ground.

This has basically already been tried, and was a huge failure:

When i say “starting to panic” what i meant was full blown panic requiring a brown paper bag to settle down. American stranded us in Chicago for 4 days last summer on a connection after cancelling a flight home that they delayed every half hour for 10 straight hours. I have raging travel ptsd since.

Listen, the only reason the Hooters jet couldn’t get off the ground was because John Daly was on board.

Also, the deep fryers for the in-flight wing service proved to be something of a hazard.

Air fryers woulda just been too obvious a solution huh

Flying a on Wednesday morning and the TSA Precheck line is longer than the regular line. Just pros out here.

If everyone has precheck, does anyone have precheck?

Which is why the pros add Clear. (where available). Since I added Clear to my Precheck in November it’s been a game changer.

I hope the new airport in KC has CLEAR, it is a game changer for sure.

Clear + Precheck is worth it for Atlanta and LAX alone.

Half of the time I fly Clear has been longer than Precheck so I just end up going through Precheck to be quicker.

And LGA, JFK, and most importantly MCO

I wish, but sometimes have to go there for work. It’s the wurst

United and Delta both have ownership stakes in Clear. It partially explains why you find Clear is many more places where Delta and United fly frequently. The availability of Clear is much lower in American hubs, as well as airports/terminals where the smaller airlines dominate. For example, in Boston Clear is available at Terminal A (Delta) and Terminal B (split between United and American) but not in Terminal C (Jetblue).

Do I think it’s bullshit I can just pay to skip lines? Yes. Do I absolutely leap at the opportunity to pay to skip lines? Also yes.

Airport Twitter can be a weird place sometimes:

My home port! The redevelopment there is really, really good.
My only gripe is the beverage options – there’s a good bar with plenty of local craft beer options close to the main gates, but it closes at like 7pm, every night. You can subvert this by heading up to the Whisky Lima Golf (works on so many levels here, but WLG is the code) bar at the Rydges within the airport, which also has runway views and for some reason is never busy.
