How does something like that even happen?!?!

Appears to be a suicide situation. She asphyxiated herself and then fell into the conveyor system.

That’s terrible for everyone involved.

Very scary. It must have been a failure of the deicing system.

Anyone have a neck pillow recommendation? Predictably there are billions of articles out there, but the hitters here are always the best source of reliable information. (I tend to run warm so anything that is breathable gets bonus points)

You won’t regret it. Cabeau is the best.

Well today has been a wild travel day. I’ve had very good success this year so I was due to get totally boned. MDT - ATL - MDW on delta. Flying home from work meeting my wife in Atlanta and then going to Chicago for our anniversary this weekend. Maintenance issues out of Harrisburg force our flight delayed 4+ hours which is causing me to miss my connection in Atlanta. No other option than to wait and hope I didn’t miss the last flight out of Atl tonight.

Just happen to check other airlines. AA had a flight to Philly then to ORD getting me there roughly the same time as my wife does. Walked up to the gate booked the flight and was the last one on the plane. As much as I hate to give American a shout out, they delivered today.

First off, well done on being resourceful and clever.

A friend of mine has had nothing but bad luck all year with flights, many of them international, and he told me he has started to budget like an extra $300-500 for every trip for the eventuality of a need to buy a last minute ticket or rent a car one way.

Ill frequently do this for trips home just in case we have flight issues having been jammed by southwest and united a few to many times. I just book it via costco and cancel at the last second if not needed.

That’s brilliant. Going to keep that one in my back pocket.

Delta is doing everything it can to lose my loyalty today. They wouldn’t let my wife board in Atlanta because it’s a companion pass and I’m required to be on the flight for it to be a valid ticket. Had to now buy her a flight to midway. Which also now voids our return tickets home. Gonna have to figure out how to get home later but looking like it’ll be either close to $1000 in flights that was originally around $300-400 or we rent a car and drive.

Wow that is scummy as fuck. Straight to jail, delta.

Flying to Daytona in October for work and my limited options leave me with a 2+ layover at either Atlanta or Charlotte. Without having status or the required credit card for lounge access, which airport is better to be stuck at?

ATL by a landslide

Yeah agree, the AA operation at CLT is bleak. ATL is one of the best run high volume airports in the US. Decent F&B options too.

Yeah but we have rocking chairs!

Thanks. As I keep looking at options, I might end up in both spots since taking AA home gets me back at a much more reasonable hour than Delta.

You may never get home if you fly AA
