I was scratching my head because it hasn’t rained in a couple days, being reported as a construction incident. Tear it all down and start over. I’m so glad I am closer to GSO and RDU.

In the DCA Centurion lounge for the first time, pleasantly surprised at how much space they found up here. It will def fill up but seems like they did the most with the available real estate. Also should ease the burden on the Delta Sky Club around the corner.

If the Admirals Club at DEN can stay open until 11:30pm despite AA not having any regular red eye flights from there then surely the United club at DEN can stay open past 9:30pm

I forgot how awful of an experience the Cabo airport is from the accosting by people stationed outside baggage claim to the bus ride and boarding process on planes that don’t have traditional gates (especially when flying Southwest)
we were thankfully one of the first A group people on board coming back to the States, but apparently they gave up trying to orderly board the plane on the B group/second bus full of people to board and it was a shitshow

In fairness, other than the 3 awful sub 4 hour redeyes leaving just before midnight to the east coast hubs, DENs star alliance redeyes are mostly to Europe that leave way earlier than that.
If there’s no AA redeyes why would you need Admirals to be open that late??
Terminal B was packed last night with people taking domestic red eyes on United. I was on one to Boston and there were others to IAD, BWI, and EWR. Those flights are every night so maybe staying open until 10:30 would be better than 9:30

Yeah, that’s a bummer. But keeping a club open another couple hours to serve only four flights probably just didn’t make sense financially.
Seems like they could have some sort of reduced service/staff and keep it open for people to hang out tho.

The second-hand inside scoop is that the SOP that calls for deflating the tire before working on it wasn’t followed. Those tires being 200 psi are some dangerous things to be around. Still an awful situation to have happen.

Quick shoutout to the DIA.
Long have I thought of this place as a bottom tier airport. But had a delightful experience going through (what looks like) a new TSA Pre checkpoint. Through security in 10 minutes.
The Amex Lounge is nice, though it will never compare to the old Smokin’ Bear lodge.
Plenty of reasonable restaurants if you’re hungry.
Only negative is the off site rental parking and the train that appeared to not have AC.
SeaTAC now has a stranglehold on the Worst Airport in America 
title.

You come back from hiatus to bring this shitty take? SEA has a nice simple terminal layout, anti-price gouging rules for its tenants (retailers cannot charge more than they would charge at a location outside the airport), and generally mild weather with few ATC delays. All 3 NYC airports, CLT, DFW, and LAX are where you should start with the worst airports list.

- 20 years of construction
- Choke point after choke point. Escalators, trains, confusing layout,
- D-Tier food options (Beechers not included)
- Notoriously bad security checkpoints
- Consistently filthy airport.

the accusing me of being rude to them because I kept saying I was good and going where I needed to go was a nice touch. it was much worse this time than in 2022.

I had this experience in Cancun but both trips to Cozumel have been delightful. Much smaller airport and easier to get in and out of… now if UA could just make the connection work so we don’t have to stay over in IAH, that would be ideal.

At most points of the year there are AA redeyes from DEN to CLT/PHL/MIA.
