Gave this a try this morning, pretty solid! Did a peloton stretch last night and it kinda blew me away. But so far we’re 2 for 2. Already feeling better.
You forgot to add “Double bogey 7 holes in a row” to your goals
Massive fan of stretching/yoga. Along with improving mobility, flexibility, and range it also helps tremendously with reducing stress and “tightness” in your brain/head.
I will check this out also! Thank you.
Will also add an endorsement for Yoga With Adriene. Started with doing her 30 day challenges but not holding myself to doing it daily in April and now do yoga nearly every day. It fits well with the year of the process because building flexibility and changing how you hold yourself daily truly is only accomplished through a process
My goal for 2021 is to be more empathic, plain and simple.
I agree. I got ARCCOS Caddie this year and the feedback has been incredible.
I always laugh when I see I missed four fairways…two left and two right and I know exactly which holes they were.
The strokes gained data is a game changer for me on ARCCOS. So much data.
I literally just out my phone in my left pocket and check it when waiting to tee off or at the turn. Walking makes it easier IMO to use/correct.
Saving this pod for a long drive tomorrow, but all this man bun talk compels me to issue some advice to @Tron: when you get there, don’t go nuts; be gentle with yourself. I had a terrifying hair scare last weekend when the wife came out of the shower with a significant clump of my treasured locks in her hand.
After a thorough scolding, I’ve been cold turkey on the hair bands for several days, and will not be putting them on wet hair or sleeping with my hair up any more.
Similar to @Randy and @MerchCzar…
I’d like to spend less time just mindlessly scrolling on my phone. I go through phases where I’m really good at avoiding it. But then I’ll catch myself just scrolling away and getting lost on Twitter or Instagram. I’ve set myself limits on apps through Screen Time in hopes of being more aware. Which also leads to @Soly from last year or being more “present”…something else I’m hoping to achieve.
Learn to love scrunchies my friend
There’s a fine line between hair ties that grab your hair and hair ties that are so loose they fall out. Also, according to the girl who cuts my hair, those of us with curly or wavy hair will have most of it come out during a shower when people with straight hair will have it just fall out throughout the day. (add this to the things I thought I’d never talk about on a golf message board…)
You and I could never ride in a car together…but my wife and you would be 2 peas in a pod.
I told my wife I was going to put gas in the car for her the other day and instead of saying “thanks” she said “why, it’s just under a quarter of a tank”
I immediately got hives.
Missing the Action Bronson scene from The King of Staten Island will have left a hole in your cinema education. One of the all time great cameo’s. Like a live outtake reel in the middle of the movie. Go back and watch.
Bronsolino is the effing man! Still have my copy of Dr. Lecter on cd that’s worth a pretty penny these days surprisingly.
Golf:
Play 10 new courses
Reunite with my old coach - turns out he knows what he’s talking about
Drink more water and less white claws on the course
Physical:
Walk / push cart more often than riding
Eat better and earlier in the evenings
Personal:
Introduce my 6yo nephew to the game this spring
make better golf bets - begin with not betting on myself… trust the process…
Personal/Physical: Jumping on the goal of diminishing time spent on multiple screens. @Randy could not have stated it better on the pod.
Physical: Last year I started tracking my running mileage for curiosity’s sake. Now that I have a baseline, the second year seems ripe for surpassing 2020 mileage. Think I might go for 1,000 miles too.
Golf: Sadly have started the year off with some terrible left elbow/forearm pain, but at Jan 1, it was break 80. Now it seems like, hitting it pain-free is more attainable!
Piggybacking on @Randy’s 100 birdie challenge. I’d love to try to play with 100 different refugees in 2021.
I wonder how long it would take?
