Maybe I’m just confused by the OP website - but where are the golf clothes?
From the top nav bar:
Clothing
-> Collections
-> Golf
TBH most of the site is polos, shorts and pants so you could probably shop non-golf stuff as well.
Gotcha - saw those. Should have been more specific… where are the clothes that are being worn in the episode?
That, I have no idea. Possible they have phased out since this was filmed back in the fall and the company might have rotated out that seasonal collection.
I got a few pairs of their shorts at a nordstrom rack a few years ago (also a steal) so maybe check some outlet sites.
Every Tourist Sauce is now just adding must visit places to go visit and play. So many golf trips to take!
God Secession looks sooo fun to play! Season is off to a fantastic start!
Not really. This guy seemed to actually know what he’s talking about
Must be wider than it looks, the guys made it seem like you couldn’t lose a ball that easily but it looked like lots of marsh/hazard, was surprised by their comments about it being pretty friendly.
Got the impression that was down to the tide being out?
Think 8ft of change was mentioned so a lot of the scrub/marsh areas may be taken out of play at a higher tide?
Yeah, definitely looks like it would be a different play when the tide rolls in.
@djpie biggest observation on ep 1 is you look great dude. Keep up the hard work
Appreciate this, had no idea what was happening for that vid so had to go off of reactions.
Still losing after being up for a lot of the day is sick but also sick.
@djpie starting the trip on fire with a 76. Well done
Wonder what other scores were—have you guys considered posting your scores for each episode? It’d be interesting to see your impressions of the course in relation to score.
I love it. Absolutely love it. Sooo good!
Great episode: Seemingly high quality golf, Neil didn’t blow up and the sounds of Iration didn’t show up.
I play Secession a couple times a year—it really is a special piece of Earth. The guys did a top shelf job of relaying the vibe and spirit of the place. The memorial scholarship fund is named after two members killed on 9/11. It raises funds for employees children to attend college.
Before a county wide smoking ban, you could finish your round and enjoy a whisky and a very good cigar inside among others doing the same. For a while the club was the #1 in sales of Opus One in South Carolina
I love that place. Sometimes I get to looking forward to being there so much I almost forget that we play golf there too!
So… winter 2020 Refuge get together at Secession, then?
@6thFairway
Or anyone else.
Can you shoe me a sample card where you kept track of multiple presses? How do you stay organized with the multiple presses and dots and strokes and everything else going on?
Thanks
@Q-school I think in the trailer there was an over the shoulder peek at a scorecard, it showed four scores on the first four lines, then in the last two lines, four matches per box in tiny handwriting.
There’s obviously a ton of ways to keep track but what I like to do is keep track of the actual match itself (i.e. +1, AS, -1) and then I put slashes between holes where a press was called which tells me where a new match started (b/c all a press is is a new match starting from that hole forward). So if you’re +1 when a press happens I put a slash after that hole and if the final of the match is +2 then you won the press, if the final of the match is AS then my opponent one the press and we tied on the overall (or front/back 9)
Does that make sense?
