Tourist Sauce: The Carolinas

If y’all make it to Myrtle, be careful with the RV, as the locals say: “Come to Myrtle on vacation, leave on probation”. Or so a friend told me. Not me. Def not me.

First time, long time…

The Carolinas would be amazing. Like many have said, I think this region of the country is so accessible and affordable for many, it would be very relatable. A bunch of private courses (Secession) doesn’t seem as appetizing…

Is Pinehurst confirmed? Didn’t they just host an event up there a few weeks ago.

It is (have my sources at the resort), should be a good season given their familiarity with the Sandhills.

Agreed. Ironically the international seasons actually feel more attainable. I can figure out a way to play TOC a lot easier than I can figure out a way to play Secession or MPCC.

If they don’t play Kings North in Myrtle Beach for this season, what are we even doing here

Is that an island fairway ?!?!?! wtf doesn’t seem any safer or easier path. Are there like 4 divots out there?

Correct, it’s an island fairway. The hole is named “The Gambler”.

The bogey man lives in that shed behind the green

That was my initial thought! But now that I see it’s a par 5 I guess it sort of makes sense

It’s a little scummy that they start off a Tourist Sauce with a course that 99.9% of people will never be able to play…

If we are sending the crew to Myrtle Beach - id much rather it be a Strapped Season. Not even for the golf, just to see if they can survive a weekend on the boardwalk without a hotel and 100 dollars a day. Their only meals and drinks are allowed at the Bowery Bar. Instead of only looking for Callaway Balls when they run out, if they run out of drugs they can only look for Urbal Active THC supplements

If they will be in Pinehurst, I would imagine Tobacco Road is right up their alley as well as Dormie Club. Mid Pines and Pine Needles? Tot Hill Farm might be a stretch but if they get to Myrtle/Pawleys and are looking for Stranz courses (albeit some of his tamer options), there are True Blue and Caledonia.

If they come through Myrtle and need someone to play Caledonia or The Dunes Club with, I volunteer as tribute.

There is an island fairway in Scottsdale at McCormick Ranch - Palm #9. It’s much bigger than that though.

This was in Charlotte last night… there’s a striking resemblance here:

It’s possible they were just playing Secession while they were down there and not actually featuring it in the series.

ahh the gambler, played it to the island fairway, hybrid into the green then 3 putted for par. classic hole i think it was an early work of A W Tillinghast.

Valid point. Obviously I have no idea if it will be in the series or not. They did label their Instagram story with #TouristSauceSZN though…

I was thinking Jerry but like yours better
