Great episode, really enjoyed the Tufts archive interviews, #2, and @Joezwickl backstory. You guys are getting good at this.
Tobacco Road fuqs, looking forward to next Tuesday.

Excuse me? You feeling ok?
Well now the wait until next Tuesday just got so much longer. I need the raw footage from Tobacco Road as well.
Listen. Results aside. Hubes’ Might have a little Webb-esqu hitch going on in the violent follow through.
I think his top clubhead speed is about 4’ after the ball. Which is saying something!
And I’m realizing more and more everyday that I swing like Tron more often than I care to admit. So I gotta ride it.
I guess I was put off after my generational driving day at CR was derailed by a cold top after a discussion of said swing. But I’m happy to see your personal growth!
Watching this gave me SEVERE flashbacks to nearly puking from my hangover as I strolled down the first fairway last September (hangover courtesy of Pro Traj Holdings Inc.).
Even though I was still drunk, had been battling the sh**ks for 4 days, had 25 pounds of beer in my stomach, and was running on 4 hours of sleep, #2 was the best golf course I’ve ever set foot on.
Like @Soly said, it’s really not that intimidating because it’s all right in front of you. The fun starts when you get greenside, and then it’s just ejection city.
But it’s the good kind of ejection, that you’d love to go back and do all over again after it happens the first time.
Such a good episode, and fully encapsulated the laid back welcoming vibe at the entire resort.
That’s been my assumption in all of your videos. If we don’t see it drop, it’s because it probably didn’t.
I would agree with this as well. I really like the gambling (even if it’s sort of fallen off in recent episodes), but I find myself enjoying and rewatching the past videos that were as much about off-course things as they were the on-course golf.
I’ll try to keep this short and to the point, but I just want to tell the NLU guys how genuinely thankful I am for their content. This goes beyond the escape they’ve been able to provide over the last few weeks.
This goes back to the canonizing of St. Rapeo in Louisiana. And the No Laying Up song by the choir in Ireland. And the absolutely pornographic flyovers of Tara Iti. And introducing me to Iration while driving up and down the west coast. And, obviously, for this mega-light sponsored tour of #2.
I openly admit that it’s strange to feel like I’ve developed a relationship with guys I’ve never met. Even stranger to feel like I know them all (and none of them could pick me out of a lineup of 2 people).
But seriously. The content is just incredible and the guys don’t take themselves too seriously – and we like that. NLU is legitimately the only appointment viewing I have in my life.
anyway, just throwing out a long overdue “thank you” to the whole squad (c-suite included).
Last year I got to play musselborough with hickories. It was the first time I ever swung them and didn’t even keep score. Roll with the punches is a perfect analogy for playing them. I really couldn’t have had more fun. I won my fantasy football league last year and had a starter set of Louisville hickories in the cart but didn’t pull the trigger. One day I will.
@MerchCzar I loved watching you and DJ play with the old school clubs. And honestly watching you hit your persimmon driver was so pure and smooth without trying to kill it. Seemed like you had better control of the clubface too. I wonder what would happen if you switched back to a slightly smaller driver head from like 15 years ago or so. Does Callaway have some old Big Berthas or anything laying around for you?
Finale tonight. Let’s go!!
*Mike Strantz has entered the chat
I need Tobacco Road injected into my veins.
Guis, for planning purposes, tonight’s ep might be our longest one ever, clocking in at around 42 mins.
But we go deep on Strantz, the history of TR, and I think we show every single hole.
And I’ll be on IG Live right after it ends to talk about it and answer dumb questions.
Literally cannot wait.
Glad you guys got a chance to experience it. Tobacco Road is my favorite course, it’s so wild and so much fun even if you aren’t playing great.
It’s what a golf course built on the moon would be like.
Fuck it, make it 4 hours
What was @MerchCzar’s Mike Strantz porno take again?
Bah! Waste of grass.
