Tourist Sauce: The Carolinas

The best part is really really hard to loose a ball out there.

Totally agree. Watching this gave me even more respect for No. 2 as a great test without being super long or insanely tight. Glad it exists and is thriving for those golfers who are up to that kind of challenge. Also solidified that I never need to play it.

That’s my favorite part about #2 it beats you up, but you don’t have to worry about losing a dozen golf balls

That’s what everyone told me. Then first swing, first hole, first lost ball. Two caddies and four players.
Wasn’t that hard turns out.

How much money changed hands today? I kind of lost track where we are with the competition?

Pulled it left?

Right, into the trees. Admittedly only ball i lost. But started off on wrong foot for sure.

Well, I can tell you Pinehurst made out pretty well. What is a round out there, $400-500? So 5 NLU guys and 2 Young Hitters = approximately $3,150?

@Joezwickl Where did you cook out here in SF and Sonoma? Any places we would know? You are a man of many talents…next we will find out you are also a rocket scientist and an expert on rare gems and stones or something…!

Dude. I’m a 9 and I have that shot. My not in the upper 10 yards of that range, it might be pushing it. Would I pull it off everytime. Probably not. But if I had one play around that course. I’m 100% trying to pull that shot off and laughing whether it works or not

Uh huh.

And, I’ve not talked about “one time around that course” or anything like that. If I have, I’ve said “go for it if you want.” Still doesn’t make it the smart play most of the time.

Being a Pinehurst guy myself, I had thought it would be fun to play a round with @Joezwickl. I’m not sure I could keep it in the same zip code as his game.

@Joezwickl Food looked killer!!! Not that I’m surprised.

I absolutely hate that bunker.

I’ve played that hole 10 times and I’ve never even thought that was a shot you could try. Playing “down” the tree line with a cut, sure…OVER the tree line with a cut is nuts and he pulled it off.

That meal @Joezwickl cooks speaks to me. Pasta. Boomers (right?). Red vino. Moaaaar

Did TC approve of the wine?
