Heck, even the episodes themselves vary greatly. Eps 5, 6, and 7 lean heavily on the competition and the road trip element of this trip. Chances are there’s something for everyone’s preferences in each season. Hence the danger of looking at just one episode. I do love the tradition of everyone getting fired up and reading far too deeply into the first episode, which is usually the toughest one to produce and edit and is usually just the appetizer. I’m genuinely entertained by it and it spurs legitimate questions and ideas.
High crime neighborhoods popping up where you’d least expect it.
Stay vigilant.
But what about Tourist Sauce China?
And that just speaks to the thought that goes into the planning and editing and production that the same episode can be interpreted so many different ways. Love that, and am excited for the rest of the season!
Also love the color scheme for this season in the pro shop. Gotta love giving the Mountaineer blue and gold some run!
I want to see a season where you all bring your wives and kids and have to navigate the shitshow of international travel with toddlers, and then find a way to keep everyone entertained so you can maybe sneak in a round of golf…
From my experience, stumbling upon TS during the beginning covid and being able to binge the first 5 seasons, one of the things I instantly loved was how different each season was. And with the production value evolving from iPhones to DJ Scorsese, discovering the season episode by episode as it unfolds is the best part.
Having a mix of destinations ranging from courses I could drive to within a couple hours versus two flights, a ferry, and a horse carriage is uniquely NLU.
People ask more often than you’d think “why don’t you guys bring your wives with you on Tourist Sauce trips?” It never ceases to amaze!
This is the internet, people ask stupid questions all the time.

The true test of the TC Way logistics. Can it navigate the world with toddlers and wives who only sort of want to be there.
Really missed opportunity to not include the traditional third option here…
wonderful idea. corrected.
I’ll be the fisrt to admit I sort of agreed with @TeddyPargame’s take initially (without the arrongance line.) Especially after a season like last year, where you guys explored my home state. I mean, the reason the vast majority of us are here is because we’re golf sickos. So yes, selfishly I prefer the focus being on golf.
That being said, the line I quoted is really where it all nets out, and why I’m going to watch and support the content you guys create. Having the opportunity over the last couple of years to get to have conversations with you guys I got an idea on how diverse your interests are. That juxtiposed with your growth as people from say season 1 to now? I get it. We all grow. TS being something that is more about exploration rather than being focused soley on the golf is an adjustment. And honestly, last season was pretty much focused on the golf courses here in MI. So while this season is different, I’ll watch because you guys are all solid people… And half the enjoyment I get from the content is seeing people I like and respect grow and enjoy themselves…
I don’t know, I’m rambling.
As long as this a school yard pick where there are two captains and everyone lines up and you call out names.
And to be very clear, I had zero issue with the bulk of what @TeddyPargame said, I just took particular exception to the insinuation that we were arrogant/out of touch (“at worst”) after one episode (and the inherent irony/arrogance of him making a value judgment about the remainder of the season, golf in Scandinavia not being for sickos, etc.)
I’m all for everyone appreciating (or not appreciating) Tourist Sauce for their own reasons and predispositions - that’s what I appreciate most on here. Was just defending our thought process as it comes to where we went this season and the notion that Tourist Sauce is simply a vehicle for us to show hard core golf trips to hard core golf fans.
I will apologize for my comment about the decision being at worst arrogant. I meant it more as a challenge but it was insulting, which ain’t cool.
What I missed the mark on was giving the guys the benefit of the doubt with the selection which they’ve clearly earned.
I also said from the start I look forward to the season proving me wrong.
But @tron is right I am a hard core golfer pursuing hard core golf trip destinations.
So in closing if we can do the jokes thing again:
I like tourist sauce seasons for the hard core golf fan because that’s what I am, and that’s what I care about.
But there’s a lot more people out there than me.
And it will be fun to watch. Which is really all that matters.
(Yo but seriously what if they went to Askernish?!!!)
All good. I’m just glad I was able to get a shot in at MattyG, to whom much has been given over the last couple decades.
When we do inevitably do Askernish and the 400 other courses I want to see in the British Isles (whether it be Tourist Sauce or some other concepts we’re working on that are Tourist Sauce-adjacent) it’ll be worth the wait.
Eh, at the risk of a high level of pedantry, I think that’s a slider, so you’re kinda half right?
