Just curious… what other courses have you played that neutralize distance in a good way?
Was anyone else getting Sweeten’s vibes with Silvies?
yes, the venue itself made the competition way more interesting
Nothing turns Soly on more than firm turf. It never fails.
Firm turf and half wedge shots?
I play TI X100s in my irons and a Tour AD-95 (95 gram X) in my TMB 2 iron. Tried the steel route, learned it wasn’t for me. You, on the other hand, my find what @Soly did and steel works better. If you have the ability to, test both.
next week should be a great competition as well
My biggest piece of advice is go graphite, but go heavy. Too many people go 80-90 gram. If you can find a 105 gram hybrid shaft I can pretty much guarantee you would prefer it to steel. @Soly I would mention the same to you but you’ve killed that damn UT the last couple episodes. So damn dialed.
You could have probably stopped there.

Anyone know where to find the rules of the game they are playing in this season? Is it explain in one of the episodes?
Match play now, but quota game before that with points for your “finish position” like F1. Didn’t matter if you won by 1 or 20, you got first place points.
get fitted
When you have to wait 4 months to take a dig at your opponent
Very similar to the California season, but it was explained earlier.
I know their quota is determined by 36 - their HCP. But I can’t find what they get points for. How many for an eagle, birdie, par…and are there negative points?
Oh, I think it’s linear, and gross. 1 bogey, 2 par, 3 birdie…
Quota game is explained in the Gearhart episode, and also used for Strapped money rounds. While both Stableford-based, I don’t think Tilt and Quota are that similar - as Neil would say for the quota game, “you’re not punished for bad play.”
8 for eagle, 4 for birdie, 2 for par, 1 for bogey, 0 for double or worse.
correct. and 36 is the magic number because if you shoot your index, only in pars and bogeys, you’d meet your quota e.g. 6 index, quota of 30, 12 pars, 6 bogeys = 12x2 + 6x1 = 30.
