I need a whole trap draw on the ethos of Soly and Randy’s playing partners.
The 10th hole double bogey tithing after being under par through 9 hit way too close to home.
It’s up there with death and taxes. Just a fact of life
Question: Is Gretchen THE Gretchen from Tom Coyne’s “A course called Scotland”?!?!?!
DJ, be honest, do those doubles keep you up at night?
Fantastic episode. Possibly my favorite of the trip so far (other than Gearhart)
You need a Precision Pro™️ on the table but other than that you’re good!
Haha small world seeing Gretchen on the ep. Ran into her randomly in Atlanta years ago. All that speed golf stuff is wild.
Lol. Absolutely not.
Having that Sheep Ranch morning, the round at Trails and then the Keiser interview back-to-back-to-back (shout out Tom Emanski) … I don’t think that day really owed me anything else.
Congrats on balling out! Even better with closest friends. Even double better captured on film.
14 still sucks.
Do you happen to recall what the speed golfers scored? Maybe the keeper of the takes made their round look more impressive but it seemed like outss dropping everywhere. I wonder how they balance trying to hole putts with speed? How about a trap draw?
Yes! First thing I wondered
Just finished that book and it was the first thing I thought when I heard “speed golf” on the episode.
Can we talk about what was going on with those pins and/or foam at Trails? Someone needs to run a COR test on those bad boys
Let me guess, notorious bagger @djpie is still a 6? Lol great showing, pretty sweet you have video of your best round. Hell of a day it sounds like.
Kevin Na aspires to walk in putts like what just happened at Trails. Incredible class, that. @djpie
@MerchCzar laying it out for us with the “don’t forget about me motherfucker bunkers” - I will absolutely be borrowing this.
As someone who hasn’t spent much time at all researching the ins and outs of Bandon, it has quickly catapulted to the top of the bucket list. Appears to be Golf at its most pure and unadulterated form.
@djpie shooting Even Par with two doubles is so on brand. Well played sir! Ps, loved hearing you on The Ticket last week. Thoroughly enjoy having worlds collide!
I randomly ran into them a couple of Weeks ago at a golf club and have been waiting for this episode since. Awesome players in their own right for sure. They crushed us on the par 3 course.
