Tourist Sauce Season 6 - Oregon: Finale @ Silvies (Craddock Routing)

I’ll be honest, I didn’t believe you because the intro is so good. So I went to go listen to the song itself. IT SUUUUUUUUCKS. DJ is a magician.

It’s so god damn boring to have such a fantastic part.

Aspartame-free “Young the Giant” meets “Jack’s Mannequin” soundin’ ass song

But the part you (or whomever) pulled is fantastic. That’s why I sought it out.

The lesson, as always, is making art is fucking tough.

Signed a guy who has participated in writing a lot of ‘just okay’ songs.

Agreeeeee
When I used to put together videos at work I ALWAYS struggled coming up with music that wasn’t something I just saw used on someone else’s video. I watched “Art of Flight” then just wanted to slap “Outro” by M83 on every shot for like the next month lol or same with anything Hans Zimmer lol

I felt like a lot of the cinematography and editing in this season has been inspired by PTA and I got a few Kubrick vibes last night as well. I took the font choice as a nod (maybe wink) towards that.

So totally, but no. At least in this respect, I think it’s exactly There Will Be Blood and it isn’t even trying to be subtle.

Here’s the end (ignore the insane German or whatever it is that’s included in this clip) -

Oh i’m definitely not disagreeing with you about last night’s episode, but theres been shots that have reminded me more of The Master than TWBB, etc, but its all PTA. Maybe the Kubrick stuff I’m seeing is because seemingly everything traces back to Kubrick.
Either way, the fact that it seems so thought out and inspired is a testament to how much care seems to have gone into this season.

For my own sake…

Ouch for the big man. Can he get a Touchdown and a PAT on this trip?

Didn’t run into this problem with previous episodes but got absolutely buried in commercials this time around. The hard cut from the beauty of Sheep Ranch to EAL telling me to play Vice golf balls because he thinks the logo looks cool is maddening.

Same here. Pummeled with ads when I watched this afternoon

Watched it on my AppleTV this afternoon, saw one ad at the very beginning I think, then that was it.

Those are Jordan’s - they are (were) available here in Aus on the nike.com website - they were $220AU

Sorry about that. Filed a copyright claim (it’s running ads because of the Brahms piece, which I would think should be public domain). Hopefully that gets cleared up.

I appreciate the graphic for reminder.

At the risk of proving y ignorance how are they so far out ahead of their quotas? Having just played the NIT (humblebrag, jk) where only a handful of people out of 88 beat their quota over 3 rounds (including the NLU boys were all negative to their quota).

If your quota is based on your handicap, which is the avg of your best rounds how are these guys all taking it this deep on their quotas? I would have expected all of them to be closer to Randy’s number or their scoring is modified some other way?

I’m sure someone will bust out the math/excel to help me understand how they are performing this well on scoring when they all admitted Pac Dunes essentially ate their lunch.

Those are the points through the Sheep Ranch, not the quota game. I don’t know the specific points, but say first place is 10 points, second is 5, third is 3… something like that.

I think in this round @Tron was +6 on his quota, @Soly +1, and the others were short of their quota.

Ah gotcha. Thanks for the clarification. I think they might’ve said that in episode 1 now that you said that and since it’s been a month since then I forgot about how they were scoring this season. Thanks!

Cheers, I did have a quick look this morning. The offerings on the Nike Australia website weren’t so appealing.

No apology necessary. I know you’re doing all you can to avoid it. Plus, it’s good incentive for me to watch it live on Tuesday night.
