Brooklyn 99, HIMYM, Parks and Rec, 30 Rock, all of these modern shows (which are amazing, don’t get me wrong) stand on the shoulders of Seinfeld.

Please, please watch Seinfeld. I promise you won’t be sorry.

If you’re really apprehensive, watch “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” for an intro to Jerry Seinfeld. But don’t watch him with a modern comedian, watch him with one of his peers. Jay Leno, Larry David, Stephen Colbert, Steve Martin, these are all amazing episodes.

Alec Baldwin is criminally underrated too. And Jon Stewart. Too good.

I said these exact words to my wife and she just doesn’t like it. Larry David/Seinfeld are a very specific type of humor in my opinion.

Are the first two seasons just garbage? I get the humor, I just didn’t find it that funny compared to other shows that just bang.
