I feel like most of my friends who loved the show have a similar story where their dad loved it and made them watch it and now they love it. I will check it out for sure, have always heard that it’s incredible.
Tried to watch Friends for a couple episodes (Jennifer Aniston, am I right?), but just could not do it. The 90’s does not resonate all that much for me, but I will have to give this a try, for sure.
Yes, I think The Office will be the show that defines our generation. Sad to see it leaving Netflix.
i didnt really realize it back in the day, but jerry used to rock some fire jordans on seinfield…i catch glimpses of them when i rewatch now and am like, damn, ok jerry
Wanted to add in the Donald Glover pizza fire gif - then wondered - how many people watched community? It was a top 5 show for me for sure, I’ve gone back and binged multiple times. Funny on many different levels
To be fair, I’ve never watched past season 1, and everyone tells me season 1 was garbage. Season 1 of Parks & Rec was garbage too thanks to terrible casting, so I really should give it a chance.
It’s just a little too slow paced for my liking, that’s all.
If Soly is Jerry, Neil must be Kramer. Randy would be Puddy. Tron is George (apologies, TC) and that leaves DJ for Elaine, and that is one my highest compliments. To me, she is the MOST accomplished comedian in the bunch, and my favorite character of the show for all time.
I recently realized I’m probably Ron Swanson (the character, the actor is far more Laz) on this board.
Yeah Season 1 is terrible but then they changed things up and added great characters. When they hit their stride in the later seasons though, it was funnier than all the others mentioned. I stand by those words.
can’t we say this for ALL of the best shows? Season 1 of Seinfeld is nearly unwatchable. The Pilot is hot garbage. The episode ABOUT the Pilot is better, and not by much.
Parks & Rec was so bad I stopped watching. Then found it later. The Office season 1 was woof-da.
They all needed time to mature, flesh out characters (and their strengths) and get solid bits going.
I am watching Brooklyn 99 right now and i’m not sure I have genuinely laughed more consistently during a TV show before. It’s hysterical in a goofy, light-hearted and slightly witty kind of way. Recommend.
