If you want to dive in with a golf reference, pick Season 5 Episode 14, “Marine Biologist”.

“What is that, a Titleist?”

Some Refugee stepped away for a bit and is going to come and see like 50 posts in the TS3 thread and wonder what content or special announcement about the next episode they missed.

face to face with the blow hole!

Fantastic show.

Will also throw out Community, 30 Rock, Party Down as other great shows from the last 20 years.

Community was ok. I never kept up with it chronologically so I can’t rate it. Same with 30 Rock.

Party Down was incredible. Hard to rate because it had so few episodes. The episode where they act out the move script is one of my favorite episodes of TV ever.

Community and Party Down are your favorite comedy’s favorite comedy. Possibly as good as it gets.

(All of this is assuming The Simpsons doesn’t count as a TV show because it’s far, far, far more.)

To this day my favorite all-time clip from anything ever:

Cartoons are a separate list.

I feel like I really need to start Community again from the beginning…

My new line for Rory’s wedge game.

Which is why NLU rankings would be great. There is a lot of diversity in what people value in golf courses on here, and I think with it averaged out and weighted the rankings (greater number of reviews count more heavily, ANGC is not going to be #1 if only one person has played it) would be pretty damn solid.

I’ve met many GD raters, what they value in a golf course is far different than what NLU or the average Refugee does.

The Golf course ranking or categories list that NLU is considering is akin to Elaine’s “Sponge worthy” list?

everything after season 4 is much better. avoid The Clip Show, and the Finale, and you’ll enjoy 85-90%…

but if you don’t like it in season 4, just give up. Nothing is for everyone.

@GluteActivator I’ve long stated that Arrested Development had the greatest 1-3 seasons of a sitcom…but didn’t have enough longevity early on to make “the greatest comedies” list.

That kind of cultural reference is highly relevant and hilarious to someone hear their 20s in the '90s. Brilliant.

@Soly tier strategy seems to make sense to me:

Tier 1
The Buck Club

Tier 2
Everything else

It took me a second run through to start to enjoy the humor, but now I can’t watch it without picking up on something else that strikes me as hilarious. It seems like those early seasons were just a bit ahead of their time almost? The sense of humor seems to resonate more now that it might have back in the early 00’s.
