soly’s swing from the reno video looked really good i thought
My swing speed numbers are similar but their carry distance is crazy. I occasionally get those but they must be hitting the sweet spot and keeping spin down much better than I do.
I think the altitude in Reno helped their carry numbers a bit.
They are playing the Xander model of Epic Flash.
in Ep2, these were the handicaps noted (current in parentheses):
Slenderman: 11.5 (10.0)
Icarito: 6.1 (4.8)
Tronald: 5.0 (3.7)
Mr. Pie: 7.2 (7.8)
Soly: 2.9 (+0.3)
Tron gave Neil three pops at Pac Grove - very benevolent!
First time I’ve been able to watch live in the last few weeks. Very excited for today’s match between the most popular man in golf media and definitely not the least liked NLU team member!
That was my first round back after the wrist injury, speed was not close. We were juiced up at altitude so that ball still went like 310 but I whiffed it and didn’t even crack 110 (make no mistake, I swung very hard, just very shitty). My max speed though is about 115 and I’m more frequently between 112 and 114. I’ve gotten ball speed in the 170’s but I’m more consistently around 165. The heavier shaft I have in the Epic Flash has slowed me down some but I’ve driven it soooo much better this year, and I owe a ton of that to my handicap dip.
I know this will sound like a plug, but it’s hard to describe how much the Truvis has helped my putting. I ran out of them in Reno and had to putt three holes with a regular ball and I started doing the queef right that I always do. It’s hard to explain how in on Truvis balls I am.
Ugh I’d give anything for a queefed right putt. I snap hook em all
Every time someone putts a Truvis I think I can almost see the sailboat in the 3d pattern it makes.
/Wow! A sailboat! SHUTUP!
we talking Truvis, or triple track? I’m absolutely all-in on triple track, and can’t wait to get through the soccer balls that I have.
Hard to do when you don’t lose a lot of balls normally. :sniff:
Any idea why? I get that truvis balls look cool while rolling, but I’d think that at address you wouldn’t get any visual benefit.
Flex of the week, of the day.
I can second @GRWhitehead on the quality of their games. Damn near impossible to beat the quality of their company though. World class hang and what you see on their content is 100% what you get on the course. BTW, Neil DEMOLISHES the ball and he was ON with his Driver when I saw him. Wait til you see the WWOG from Sweetens!
Truvis.
I’ve struggled to describe it, but basically I feel like I’ve hit a perfect putt every time, even if I haven’t. So my confidence is sky high. You just feel more like you’re rolling a soccer ball than it does a golf ball end over end. Has freed me up so much. I also might be a mental midget.
I find that I putt better when I don’t line up my putt using the line on the side of the ball.
I actually think there is a little to be gained from any pattern. I’ve struggled with lining up a ball with no pattern, and with a single line. I tend to even adjust once the line is set, but am more confident with soccer ball than regular, and more so with the triple track.
I love how much easier you can see the ball rolling out, which seems to help me get a feel for the speed of the greens much quicker in the round than with a regular ball. Definitely more of a feel thing for me but I wouldn’t be shocked at all if my putting stats are better with the Truvis.
But then you can’t enjoy that perfect end over end roll with the line bee-lining to the hole. Shout out #18 @ Hillcrest.
I don’t think it was December. Pretty sure it was filmed in February as they were in Monterrey at the same time as the AT&T Pro Am
