Adare Manor didn’t do it for me. I’ve based that entirely on the 27 minutes of footage, but it didn’t grab me in the way Lahinch might.
While I concede it’s an apples to oranges comparison, Soly’s Crash Course for Notts prompted me to consider driving down from Edinburgh next summer. Adare Manor seemed like an exercise in excess.
I’m a sporting clays/skeet shooter too. I mean, the falconry is super interesting, but it’s a one-and-done thing. I would have shot 150-250 rounds on those gunnery courses.
they don’t…Minikahda has skeet, but no one else offers shooting. I’ve belonged to a few private shooting clubs up here but currently not at any of them.
There is a range just to the north of WBYC. I used to play in leagues at a course right nearby the range. Trap or skeet leagues were usually at the same time, so it would sound like WWIII out there while you were playing.
Another great episode. That place looked incredible, would love to stay there someday. Definitely a place that has enough to convince the significant other to let me golf while she gets a spa treatment or something.
I was inspired by the last episode to get a Guinness and try Guinness game. Almost had a heart attack watching the bar tender pour it into a Coors glass followed by 2 bud lights into Guinness glasses.
No, nothing except Wild Wings a little ways north and east, and Maple Island, north of Stillwater. That said, it’s country so I know some folks with shooting ranges on private property. Both are good, and I’ve been a member of both.
