Is this the bell hole???
Good old Goose Shit Island. Played here every year for 15 years on a golf trip. Thankfully we’re now at Forrest Dunes tho the memories are great.

Yes, 6 has the bell on the left side of the fairway where nobody is because everybody blasted it through the dogleg into tree hell

The Bull pops up again, and I suspect not for the last time. Here is where we are:

Ironwood Callow #7 - Sussex, WI (The whole place stinks)
Up hill par 5 that forces you to hit a 200-ish yard shot off the tee. Tree lined fairway that gets narrower towards the green. Can never see the pin on your approach shot so that’s cool and the green is wider than it is deep. Bunker just short of the green that is never taken care of.

Timber Ridge #7 - a par 5 that lets you hit driver off the tee only if you can work it left to right or land it in a specific zone over the bunker. Then the fun starts. Want to go for the green? Better hit a towering 250 yard shot that somehow falls out of the air or somehow find the 15 yard wide window between the trees. Otherwise you’re forced to layup but you have to have your distances spot on or else you’ll be blocked out on your wedge shot. This course probably has the worst collection of par 5’s ever, this one might actually be the most normal but it’s still terrible.

I missed highlighting #4 so here’s that for your pleasure as well which is a similar template. What you can’t see is that if you go for it in two (which I’ve done for reasons explained later) is that the trees are like 50ft tall so you have to hit it insanely high to have a chance. The layup however, has a massive downslope right at the right turn so if you don’t get it far enough, you have a massive downhill lie for your flip wedge.

I like Ironwood overall but this hole stinks. I think its also this hole where they have those rocks along the cart path so its basically a permanent cart path only hole most of the way up.
