GolfWRX post over a decade ago raving about the place. Lawsonia has been known for a long time.
I’m sure TFE has brought like to their fair share of courses but Lawsonia would not be one I would put on the board. Any Wisconsin golf guide would point you there. I’m sure golfclubatlas has hundreds of posts about it. TFE is really GCA - the message board + social media + extremely good pics/vids + a little wider net of courses to talk about.

That WRX thread has 10 replies and the Most Fun Courses isn’t exactly a must read when it comes out.
I can’t speak for Golf Digest, but I’d say 120k views on YouTube far outweighs the reach of Golfwrx and GCA.
But thats neither here nor there, the butthurtedness in this thread is from other stupid reasons

You can easily argue that considering how affordable an all-day play package goes for and the fact the cart girl can check you into your “room”, right @PTM?, just confirms that they can still be categorized as a “small shop”.
I was extremely happy I made the trip, huge shoutout to @BaxterMSP both courses were a blast.
Plus if you don’t stay for the fish fry, have you really even had the full Lawsonia experience?
