I’m the guy who likes to contribute when I feel it might add to the conversation - and I usually do so in between working and hanging out with my family. Sorry I’m not known by name by people here, mostly because their feeds are inundated with your name, spewing a bunch of bullshit and random “insights”… but it wasn’t always that way…
You used to have thoughtful contributions, and generally were helpful to others
Refugees, based on threads and posts I was able to frequent, and that was great to see, but now it seems as though you just have the need to be biggest voice in the virtual room.
I get it, we are all stressed out, and for you it appears that has inhibited your ability to filter what’s in your head, and those fingers are just pounding away at the keyboard as you contemplate what life holds for you next… and you feel the need to blast it out post, after post, after post.
So to your question: Who am I?
I am a solid 9ish handicap, who’s balding… but I know that I have a wife and two kids who I love and adore, and I am doing everything in my power to make them feel safe during this time or uncertainty. I am lucky to have a job that I enjoy and that values my contribution. I also have a passion for golf and like to contribute to a community that shares that love… and I hit my limit and wrote a very blunt/direct response to as I felt it was you trying to be a smart ass, yet again. I feel some portions of the Refuge has lost its way as of late (yeah I know I am new here), and when I look at who’s stoking the fire, your name is a common thread, and are a major reason why I feel that way, and I’m not afraid to say so.
I hope you find some validation or fulfillment through you’re insanely high activity level here, but I’d have you ask yourself how much of that is encouraging community, or puffing your chest out and being a smart ass?

Is anyone else having issues with images loading? It just started today.

Seems to be better at home. It may be the office’s way of telling me to get back to work.

I can’t get images to load on my work laptop, whether I’m on vpn or not. They manage some of the settings in Chrome so I’m thinking that’s the cause in my case

I’m also having issues. Been happening for a few days or weeks, but doesn’t seem to be every image, but seems to be happening more. Using the latest version of Chrome. Any ideas?

Yeah, I’ve been having image loading issues the last few days. Seems to work OK on my iPhone, but on laptop/computer its not working (I use Edge).
@McSchvantz @MerchCzar - any suggestions?
EDIT: I should say that it’s hit or miss on my laptop / Edge, some images seem to load, many don’t.
Nothing’s changed on our end and I’m not seeing any issues with our service providers aside from some network issues around 10/2. Is it still happening? Does the same image load sometimes and not others? All from the same network?
Correct. Sometimes I don’t see any images, sometimes I’ll see one or two, and sometimes if I refresh a bunch of times some will show. But for the most part I only see maybe 10% of the images. This happens both on Chrome on a PC and through the discourse app on an iphone.
Try clearing your cache for your browser.
