So let’s not make it easier for them. I’ll happily accept someone being a dipshit online vs having that same dipshit spill into my life.

@RobertHunter, can we get a Picard ruling here?

Did you guys (mods) delete the Bandon thread? If so, stop doing that.

Didn’t even merge it so now he has no clue where to find information about Bandon. Poor gui.

And I lost my poll that was for sure going to convince my wife to let me go.

Thanks a lot, mods.

Did I miss anything good?

I had 30+ likes in that thread and if I’m being honest it should have been more. The gettin’ was that good.

Would like to shoutout @BigJake and @davidc for some Grade A gif usage in that thread

embarrassing. I would love to know what it got dumped. we were getting really really close
to divulging all the good Bandon info.

I deleted it because it was deeply pointless on all fronts.

Is this a standard US chatroom flatform? Like, are you American folk used to this layout and how the page looks? I’m so far away from a regualr user of this site ( various reasons) but I find the layout totally sucks. Has anyone at NLU towers thought about VBulletin or Xenforo? I find both massively easier to use, read and reply.

Cheers!

I’ll say that though I was one of the early sign ups here, I didn’t start to use the board until I joined the nest last November. I found the layout really unintuitive and unwelcoming to someone who hadn’t spent any time on message boards before.

I’ve used forums for 15 years and this software (Discourse) kills everyone else. I haven’t liked VBulletin for quite some time, and Xenforo I use at MacRumors and StyleForum but I prefer Discourse by a lot. Discourse is becoming the standard in the US.

What do you find confusing? The only thing i don’t like is if you reply to the previous post it doesn’t tell you explicitly in the reply so it looks just like a “non-reply” post.

I guess it’s what’s you’re used to? I’ve joined my first football ( soccer ) forum in 2002 and I’m sure it was Vbulletin, obviously they’ve changed over the years, but the basics remain the same. It just works better for my eye and I think the layout is easier to navigate, here’s a couple of screengrabs from a Xenforo forum I use ( Hibees!)

is that a Hibs specific forum?
