Short Term :
Today Aiken continues to expect some showers and weak thunderstorms ahead of a frontal boundary. The 1100UTC HRRR Model shows a line of storms moving thru about 1400-1500LT, and then more widespread precip lingering thru the evening. By Wednesday/AM, models have the area dry.
Thursday/Friday/Saturday continue to show cool/dry weather. Clear skies at night will have temps drop and sunny skies will try to bring temps back up into the afternoon hours. Overnight lows typically bottom out in the early morning hours to just before sunrise.
Friday Gophers :
Looks like āearly PMā will be the course time, enjoy the lower/mid 70s, not too humid.
The Rail : No Major Changes
Overnight low Friday night is trending downward; clear/still nights can cause temps to drop beyond model guidance. Iām adjusting accordingly and advising folks to be ready for upper 40s before/near sunrise. Keeping the shotgun start temp in the mid/upper 50s. Afternoon games should see lower 70s. Humidity should not be a factor.
