I’m so proud of everyone making OFs that omit brandy and mushrooms and Squirt and olives and gouda and whatever else WI deems appropriate for whatever they’ve inflicted upon our palates.
Tonight I made the real version, but then added 1 tbsp of whole coffee beans, stirred, and double strained. If you like coffee it’s fantastic.

I do keep meaning to join the Monday zoom but it’s college application season for parents of seniors and it’s a tough scene, as @Forty can attest.
Pro tip edit: make your own simple syrup. 1.5:1 sugar to water. Ideally Demerara, but any sugar is fine as long as you go at least 1.5:1.

Last Thanksgiving my brother in law, who always tries to be #cool, tried to convince me the old fashioned he made me with coffee infused whiskey was good. I suspect your version plays, but his looked (literally) and tasted like absolute shit. Look at that color!!! Gahhhhhhh.
