Just a tip for those going up there, and I don’t know why I’m doing this because I’ve never used them before, but the GHIN app has some green reading maps now with the new update. Kind of fun to look at and be reminded about how crazy they are.
Here’s the 2nd hole. The app got pissed when I screenshotted it though so don’t do that. Definitely check out 18 though
Very cool. However at NCC you need the NCC putting clock. If you don’t know which way the grain is going you are toast. There are slopes on 5 for example that appear to go left but the grain holds it and it is straight. On 12 (both examples are par 3s) there are puts going uphill that you think have to go left due to green slope but they go right (and of course they do the lake is that way!) Do yourself a favor and get a copy of the clock from the proshop.
That’s the one! I’m totally down for the strapped life especially since it’s walking distance. If we can get like 3 people I’m happy to book. Seems like that’s break even point from getting a single hotel.
Hey All… due to some complications, I am not going to be able to come on out to Minnesota this September. Have an amazing time without me; I know that you will. Pretty bummed, but worse things in life.
That aside; I have a hotel reservation at the Residence Inn [ Check In. Sep 16 Check Out Sep 19 ]
Full King with a pullout sofa.
$440 all in. Not looking for money from anyone…
I can easily cancel this, but thought I’d throw it your ways. Had this reservation from a few months ago. Happy to call the hotel and arrange for the reservation to be transferred and what not. Prices seem sketch right now for everything. Good talk, see you out there.
You will love it. Wind has been blowing all week I hear. Guys are having some fun at NCC in the Invite. One of my best buds in semis for Sr Champ flight. He hits it low and hard. Cmon wind.
Not sure who the right person to contact about this is but will be in Duluth on Thursday en route to anniversary trip up north and would love to get involved in the practice round if at all possible.
So originally I was going to stay at my own cabin with just @MackReiter. But that got double booked. So I got a great deal on a cabin on the lake right next to mine from a family friend. There are 2 spots available with your own king/queen bed. There is also a cot someone could sleep on if they wanted. It’s about 30 mins north of Duluth in two harbors.
The price is 120 total a person for Thursday Friday and Saturday night. So 40 bucks a night. But it’s a crazy nice cabin right on the lake.
