I liked your post, but I do not like this news… major loss! Hope to see you another time soon

The course plays much easier with the native grass cut, things will play muuuch different in June

Yeahhhhhh, if I hit it off the tee in June like I did today, some MASSIVE numbers could be in play.

Not signed up because the date doesn’t work for me but your pics will put Park Mammoth on my do list. The land movement is intoxicating.

Love to hear it! That didn’t even include the 230 yard downhill par 3 that plays at 210! Absolutely love the course!

Feel like we need an 18 week hype train with a weekly hole by hole breakdown of park mammoth

I don’t think I have pictures of all 18, but I could at least give a written breakdown of each hole. Hahaha, I could put a new one out each Sunday up until the Sunday before the event which would (checks notes) mean the hole 1 breakdown would be 1/29. Lol

Hole #1
Park Mammoth immediately begins with a “Welcome to Park Mammoth” moment… While there are often great targets in the distance at PM, visual deception is on display throughout the course, and here as you’re not sure how far the hole is without checking. #1 is a 400 yard par 4 and one of only five holes that play across the width of the valley, with the new back tee set by the soon to be open putting green and directly in front of the under construction clubhouse. Players hit off the hill, through the bottom of the valley, and attempt to climb the hill to get close to the green. With 18 to your left off the tee, golfers have (at least?) a 100 yard wide fairway to find, but angles are immediately in question. Shorter hitters will have to worry about clearing the tall grass/washout on the right if they take an aggressive line towards the green, while longer hitters may be able to approach this green with wedge in hand. A large, elevated, and nuanced green complex welcomes some shots, while it rejects others. The first hole may be a gentle handshake, but it can easily lead to a three putt bogey.

Rating: 9.7… Maybe one of the single best golf holes I’ve ever played… and your round has just begun

Speaking from experience…you can also de-green yourself if you’re on the wrong tier…not that this happened to me 14 hours ago after driving it onto 18 or anything…

Major loss for me! Was excited to reconnect with my High Cotton friends. Definitely planning to make another event. You guys are always welcome up north as well!

Have any dates been set for Cincy events yet?

Should be in April. @methridge is coordinating that event.

Columbus will be the end of June.

The Office gif. Steve Carell as Michael Scott purses his lips and raises his eyebrows in annoyance as he says, "What?"

Most of us will probably still miss it.

I could definitely miss it…remember my tee shot at Streamsong on to the other course??

Which one? That sounds like the majority of your shots that weekend…

This is just plain rude…

This was on Sunday. The par 5 on the back. I hit it near the green on the Blue course (and made birdie). AJ said he’d never seen a ball hit that far right.
