I ended up booking the Sleep Inn in BG. Not far from the host hotel but about the same rough distance from Park Mammoth.
Hard at work in the lab to get something cooked up with a lot more new details
When the list opens back up, I expect someone from @ConfluenceGC to sign up.
I’m going and its a week before my Bandon trip, so no excuses, play like a champion.
Did you get a copy of my podcast notes from this week? Rule #76 was my life advice
I didn’t, I keep meaning to fire you guys up on my commute and get never finish the others on my list.
This means EIGHT Yeti coolers will be in play for KP prizes. Bring your best stuff to the par 3’s, as Unknown has Vessel golf bags for winners in an all day Par 3 contest. Unknown will automatically calculate the low players throughout the day on the par 3 in a separate leaderboard. For those who haven’t gotten to experience it yet, excited for you to experience the scoring system that has gone above and beyond to help make this a great event! The founder and CEO himself will be there to witness what the NLU Roost world and Race to the NIT has to offer
Alright folks! We are back with another hole preview! After playing the brutal (or if you listen to @leftysauce, proper ass) par 3 5th, you’re greeted with the 6th hole. The 6th tee is (I believe) the highest point on the property and offers some great views of the course. 6 is a downhill par 4 with room to bail out right, but if you overcook the ball left, the native grass and OB are both lurking! A good drive will leave a short iron into a quirky green! There’s a lot of tiers/wild places we could put some pubs for this one!
Thirty eight players signed up for the Friday round! Almost to 40, sign up here
Aside from our attempt at a little Roost battle, we’re going to be running an optional skins game for $20. $10 will go to a net skins pot, and $10 will go to a gross skins pot… Stay tuned for more details
Supercell coming in the deepest so far, but Electric Phactory in close second followed by OATW and the Peachtree Collective. FIVE roosts with enough guys coming early to compete we love to see it
To wrap up the difficult stretch of 3-7 is the par 3 7th (with an alternate tee in the second picture), where the wind is almost always doing something you don’t expect. From the traditional tee, the hole sits at an angle in the valley and is the southernmost hole… which may not seem like it means much, but the wind can be the key to the story on the par 3’s, and it makes a difference.
The obvious trouble is the water and the bunker, but the OB left actually creeps in more often than you think. If a ball misses left, it can go further left in a hurry. On the other hand, there’s forever to miss to the right (literally the rest of the golf course). I’ve seen guys have makeable par putts after missing by 40 yards
As far as the green itself, the spine (referenced above in the thread) in the middle is the main storyline, but the back to front slope rewards shots that stay below the hole.
All in all, the second par 3 and a really good one to transition from a tough stretch of holes into a fun stretch…. 8 coming
Played the course for the first time a couple of weeks ago, it’s going to be sick when everything grows back in.
Do we have an updated PDF for the event? Still $325 entry fee?
We are deep in the lab working on this every day. Right now we are still working to hammer out a few final details in order to finalize the price. At that point, we’ll release the new info packet
Awesome. Just wanted to make sure I send the right amount tomorrow.

As our Indiana roost is not official yet, I’d be happy to join a roost for the day on Friday. That is, if needed, permitted, and desired for the competition you’re cooking up.
Dibs for HCC! After that 9 holes you shared yesterday, we need that on the squad/we already have 1 guy from Indiana. Lol
(unfortunately, that score was Robs’… but I’m not shabby either )
