It sounds like my +2 for sister and man is turning into +3 for sister and man, and a friend of theirs who heard of the event and invited himself which is sweet. Sounds like the right kind of guy for the event.
Pretty sure we’ll be in a airbnb of some kind given our numbers now in the mini posse.
Also I pulled my name from the extra rounds list for Thursday but may have a ready foursome for a 9 loop at tarandowah the morning of.
@cfrench any idea if friday morning tee times can be blocked off for event attendees through your contact at the course? It seems like there are 2 foursomes already at this early juncture and maybe/likely more will chime as the event nears.
One or two people who stayed last year didn’t stay with the group (not sure where), but I believe the vast majority of people staying at the Comfort Inn this year. That includes some that were not sure last year about staying and did the 45-60 minute drive each day.
Hey, As of now I’m going to say morning tee time will be up to the individual group to book as different groups will likely want to tee off at different times.
I’d prefer 18 as well but chilling and having tons of time between a morning round and the event will also be a priority so I’ll watch as the details roll out.
Yeah, would need an early tee time the Friday morning, but will also end up a tonne of golf. Could be temperature dependent as well, if it’s as humid as last year’s Tussle, 18 in the morning is likely a bad idea
Didn’t know Ducks were such go hards! hahaha i guess I could’ve made that assumption on a golf forum page. I’ll probably just hit 300 balls that morning and start to overthink the shit outta my golf swing. That normally does the trick.
If you think adding 18 holes the Friday morning of the Tussle is going hard, you should ask @duncmitchell how he spends his typical Monday-Friday. Occasionally he takes breaks from golf to work.
Hey now, we had a good season last year in spite of (because of?) the many challenges that covid presented to my industry. Made a delicious tart from the lemons I was handed, if you will.
Shorter season to contend with in AB… I don’t know I’ll reach the same heights this year. But like, maybe. We’ll try, I guess!
So, assuming we are allowed across the border, @PinePocky and I are strongly considering coming on up!
I have to admit that most of what I know about Ontario I know from Stan Rogers (and he wasn’t terribly complimentary), but I promise to come with an open mind. (Tongue planted firmly in cheek!)
In all seriousness: I love Canada, and I’m very much hoping that everything works out for us to make it.
