Is orange roast a thing? Cause…well…he’s a walking Cheeto
A few others as well - Glencairn could be considered linkish, and the TPC Toronto health lands track has similar aesthetics.
Yeah this is escalating quickly into a week-long trip for me. I’m unfamiliar with Doug Carrick and Cam Tyers but those guys might seem to have their shit together.
Doug Carrick is a genius.
I think 50% of my golf this year were on Carrick tracks. The Nest at Friday Harbor wouldn’t be single destination but if you’re up this way that’s worth a look too.
Need to find a connection at Summit and cross off the Thompson Carrick connection in one go.
I didn’t realize Turnberry is an executive course and now I HAVE to play it.
@anon15484665 @BigtimePolecat @thesaxemachine y’all up for some fun? Once around full set, then again one club?
If you look at the card you’d probably use every club as well. It gets slow because people think par 3 courses are good for beginners, but it’s absolutely worth a weekday round.
We might be able to piggy back these with our shop in Belleville.
This is quickly becoming a whole week trip for me…and I’m pumped
Belleville has great golf too!
Instead of crossing in Sarnia, cross in Windsor and play a municipal Donald Ross course.
I’m a big believer in the NLU guys need to do a Tourist Sauce: SW Ontario.
Turnberry is a really fun course. Play it soon before it gets developed (an application for development has been filed).
BIG SURPRISE golf in the GTA is getting bulldozed
I really need to get up to play in the Muskokas
It’s all fun and games until your approach shot bounces off a greenside rock and goes OB.
Muskoka Bay is very fun though
I lost a million balls at MB. If you miss the fairway, it’s shield.
Yeah what Phil said.
All this talk of other courses in the area makes me want to make a week of it and hit all the spots. Let’s hope the US gets this Covid situation figured out and borders open by June
Just so everyone knows, the courses that are getting talked about aren’t all particularly close together. They’re also not so far apart that if you’ve got a week it would be unreasonable, though.
Devil’s Paintbrush is a private course that probably knocks those two out of the water.
